Proof the PeTA is retarded.

Of course not! Dogs and cats are meant to be meat eaters, it's natural for them and their bodies need the protein! I agree with cassie, it's cruel not to give your animal companions meat!

And we aren't?

They're only saying that because you know they spent years trying to feed their dog tofu and rice cakes while it starved to death.

No. Vegans abstain from any animal-produced products, in addition to not eating animal meat.

i'm just gonna chime in here and say that vegans are a-ok. one of my bestest pals is all vegan and she rocks harder than any of you in this thread. (please note that i am invoking the willie clause here, where he is pretty much excepted from any negative comment from me EVER).

peta's point is that animals such as cats and dogs shouldn't be forced to eat vegetarian because it IS COMPLETELY NATURAL for them to eat meat, as in they can hunt and kill their own food without the use of tools.

if you really think hard about it there's no real reason for humans to consume meat. you could argue the whole b-12 factor, but there are sources of b-12 that are not animal derived.

just sayin.

willie: i said "think hard" >: ;)

stupid: it seems to me that you've been drinking a lot.

dude: you're being silly, i hope.

i'm not even a vegan and i can be rational about this shit. i mean, seriously? why do some of you get upset about what other people don't eat? even if "upset" isn't the right term, why do you make fun of them? if anything, you should admire their resolve to treat animals with a huge amount of respect. i mean, shit, you can say you love animals sooo much, but i dunno, i think living up to that by refusing to contribute to their mass murder and exploitation is admirable.

I think it's cuz, to them at least, vegans or PETA members are the first to get upset by what people eat.

It is stereotyping, but people do that for a lot of people :/

Vegans and vegetarians are one thing. PETA is an entirely different ball game. To date, I've known about twelve vegans, and a hell of a lot of vegetarians, and almost all of them were rational and secure in their beliefs. I never criticized them for their beliefs, and they never bothered me about my meat-eating ways.

On the other hand, all of the PETA members I have ever known have all found it necessary to constantly lecture me on how evil I was.

Guys, being vegan & being against cruelty to animals are different. :(

I'm vegan, & I hate animals! :eek
