Since they started taking elements from the rap community and started putting them into the country scene, it's kind of just gone speeding downhill into complete destruction. Not like it had a lot of room to fall to begin with.

Talladega Nights was funny in a surreal sense. I mean, a gay Frenchman takes over Nascar and our hero must learn courage by driving a car with a cougar.

As for cuntry....Well....my aunt keeps it blaring on the radio 24/7. The same songs over and over. It's all stuck in my head. Ba-donk-a-donk?

I'll listen to country if it's Johnny Cash or Willie Nelson. I don't really listen to any other country artists, especially since the genre seems to no longer be country but some horrid pop music/country music hybrid.

Pretty much what he said. Otherwise, I CANT FUCKING STAND COUNTRY. It's just fucking unbearable for me. I can't handle the same godanmed songs full of obligatory slide guitar chords and twangy sing ing for 8 hours at work (fortunately, the radio station is only on country sometimes). I actually dont hate older country music quite as much, and blue grass isnt that bad, but having to work at a grocery store listening to the same "Nashville" scene country bullshit all day really makes any other genre sound bearable.

There is difference between the heavenly Marty Robbins and anything put on a country station since Achey Breakey Heart.

The following are Country music lyrics from CHART TOPPING SONGS!
"I wanna check you for ticks"
"She's got it going on like donkey kong"
"save a horse ride a cowboy"
"Copenhegan makes them dirty women smile" That being a brand a tobaccy
"i got posters on my wall of Kid(rock)" THATS ENOUGH RIGHT THERE!
"She thinks my tractor is sexy"
"I love her but I love to fish"
"Honkey Tonk bedonkadonk"
"Girls fall for a wild eyed boy with a farmers tan"
see various references to cousin lovin, crystal Meth, and Moonshine.

Country and western blows. It is a festering, puss-filled boil on the anus of popular music. It should be destroyed. Seriously, round up all the Dixie Chicks et al CDs in one place then napalm that shit.

Johnny Cash was good though, mind. Leave his shit out.
