I have high hopes for this movie. Nascar needs a good mocking and this looks like it could be damned funny.

I got a promo pack from Streetwise to "hand out to people" ( keep for myself). It included beer can holders, a T-shirt, a trashy fake nascar hat, and those stupid straps rednecks wear on their sunglasses. Also, posters.
Edit: A Talladega Nights promo pack

I refuse to see it on the grounds that they won't stop playing that damn commercial.
They play it ad nauseum.

Just when you think that this will be the movie where Will Ferrell keeps his pants on there he is running around in his underwear in the promo. :(
And I have mixed feelings. Although I did like Anchorman I got pretty sick of people quoting it all the time.

I like how TNT is using this to promote their coverage of Nascar, especially when it's a blatant mockery. I'll be seeing this.

I thought this was slightly funnier than Anchorman. I know a lot of Nascar fans and amazingly, they act almost exactly like that. That whole Shake n' Bake thing cracked me up for some odd reason. The hospital room scene is worth the 8 bucks by itself.

It was pretty funny. Had some good laughs, but it's not one of those comedies I could see myself watching over & over. Didn't realize Gary Cole was in it though at first, so that was cool.

They really didn't give Michael Clarke Duncan enough funny stuff to do in the movie. That man needs a comedy of his own to star in.

Well, I just saw it and enjoyed it thoroughly. I loved the out-of-the-blue references, like with Highlander.
