draw it on paper first, then scan it, then draw over it on a different layer in photoshop.

Hey, if he wants to draw directly into the computer than let him. It worked for me and it'll work for him. ALWAYS TRYING TO PUT A BROTHER DOWN.

judging from how different and static this drawing was, that was my suggestion :rolleyes

it's not like i don't know what i'm talking about.

no matter what, when i'm drawing with a tablet, it's very stiff. the only way i can loosen up is if there's a rough sketch outlining the pose and face before i scan and draw over it.

Well, that's the thing to remember, there is a lot of clean up when you draw with your stylus.

Actually this is just me practiing at using a tablet, just to make it easier for me to use a tablet and a scanned picture together.

i'm not saying not to practice both ways, but if you didn't think of combining the two, that's really what i was getting at.

i don't do well with just tablet.

tablets are a fucken bitch to use once you touch the tablet its drawing not even close to real life
