my girlfriend wants to buy one, but she dosn't know what it is. she says it's like a sitar, but you sit it flat. i tell her it's a steel guitar, but she dosn't think it is.

"you pluck it" she says & "they use it in traditional asian music"

first person to awnser will get a wailing solo from jen herself lol

I thought maybe a kora at first but they're African and they sit upright. It's kind of like a sitar though I guess. :x

i want a hammer dulcimer. it's very similar, but it's hit with two hammers instead of plucked. it's used in rennaissance music.

Ok...over the years hangin around with a few band I've seen some instruments that I can't remember the names of but were cool.

The first is a small finger plucking instrument...my friend used it for making songs...it looked like a harp that you could pluck with your thumb.

Another was an Indian drum that made a cool "Droop" sound. It had a string inside that you would pull after you hit it and it went "Droop"

name those instruments :/
