Billy McFadden has just woken up from a wonderful night's sleep filled with dreams. His eyes adjust to the sunlight pouring in through the window as he comes alive to welcome an exciting new October morning!

"Oh boy!" Billy exclaims. "Another wonderful day for me! Good morning, me! Boy, I should probably go retrieve today's paper from my porch, to see what exciting things are going on in my local area!"

WHAT SHOULD BILLY DO?

A1. Get dressed, go outside and get the paper.
A2. Go outside and get the paper, as is.
A3. Take off his underwear.

Billy puts his clothes into the microwave for just a moment. The button and zipper on his jeans causes sparks, but it's nothing to worry about.

Pulling his clothes out of the microwave, he puts them on.

Billy opens his front door and welcomes the world, waving delightfully to the friendly faces that surround his neighborhood. He bends down to pick up the paper, and is shocked to see what is staring back at him from the front page!

I-Mockery will be holding its first annual costume contest! Come in your best dressed and see if you can win THE PRIZE!

"Holy geez!" Billy exclaims. "I gotta get my costume together right away! But... should I make one, or should I buy one?

Good thread btw, though two suggestions:

1) Give people more choices each time.

and

2) Maybe work out a way for other people to write the story. (ie: have people sign up, then let them know when it's their turn).

This is just me dumping off what little I had done for this, like, a million years ago. "The Ice King" is a reference to Bad Mr. Frosty. Remember him? How long ago was that? :(

STORE1

"Hmm, I have no creative talent whatsoever, so perhaps I should just go to the store!"

Billy takes a little stroll to the costume shop.

Billy looks around, in total shock; The store is practically empty! He approaches the nearest shopkeep to inquire about this injustice!

"It's October 27th, you dumb fuck." The shopkeep exclaims, stifling a laugh through use of profanity.

Billy slowly wanders the near-empty aisles, hoping against hope for something, anything, that would be a great costume.

And then he sees it.

"Yes! This will be my costume! I shall be..."

COMPLAIN1

Unsatisfied with his purchase, Billy approaches the shopkeep and inquires about a return of the underwhelming costume.

The cashier looks none too pleased.

The cashier leaps over the counter, tackling you to the ground. He grabs the bag that once help your costume, and engulfs your head in it. You struggle and fight, but you can't escape your fate. The last think you'll ever see is "Spider-Man" backwards, before everything goes black.

Wait...

You begin to wake up... You didn't die after all! You just passed out! And you were beaten with a stick afterwards and dumped in this forest to rot!
