I have never been a big KISS fan. But one of my friends emailed me a transcript of a 2002 interview with him on "Fresh Air" on NPR:

Usually, Terry Groce doesn't get irratable with the people she's interviewing, but you can tell that Gene Simmons is seriously getting to her. Naturally, there is no audio transcript of this interview on the NPR website. :/
