Ewwwwww. There's nothing worse than major-label, radio-friendly "Indie" Rock. I also hear a distinct lack of Rock. Or a creative riff.

My impressions so far is that their first album was a lot catchier than this one. This one is fine for listening to in the background 'n all, but I haven't heard any hit singles here, unlike the last album which was filled with 'em.
And who said they were indie? You're not "indie" when your songs are played everywhere and you have professional music videos. But being "indie" doesn't necessarily make you "good" either.

"Mr. Brightside" was the third song I downloaded off of I-Tunes for my IPod.

I heard it on Tom Scharpling's show and it sounded awful. Supposedly inspired by springsteen? Yuck!

I did not even know about them before this, I am judging them soley on what I heard, which was lame.
I hate music fans.

My neighbour brought over an album by a band called My morning Jacket...normally I would have said "that's the worst name for a band" but I was polite and we listened to it :/ and enjoyed it.
Killers/Third eye blind are bands that I can throw on in my car with the wife and kids and not have to hear radio commercials or Nickelback >:

how is nickelback so popular? i have never met someone who thought they were a good band or even decent for that matter.

They're not popular, they're just good at giving head to disk jockeys in exchange for air-time.

My friend likes Nickleback...Well, she likes that stupid "Photograph" song which is today's equivalent to "Good Riddance". And I'm still considering buying Sam's Town because I've heard they sort of took themselves too seriously on this one. :/

I saw the Killers on SNL and the guy sounded like he was trying to be Robert Smith and was dancing horribly.

i dont like them, i might even say they're bad, but there something different and allright about them somewhere.
i think the killers finally signify the final phasing out of the kind of music i listened to growing up. sure, all the same instruments are there, but they have a sound which has completly escapd the kind of thinking i'm familiar with.
i dont mind it when my little sister puts it on for the billionth time, but i dont think they're any good

:) i liked it, the ex-gf hated it along with everyone else evidently, i guess it's just a sophmore slump, but since the songs in it actually make me think of vegas, where i live, i rather enjoy it.
