I was Splinter from the TMNT this year and we just made up my costume cause all the shit you could buy from stores in the 80s was like, a shirt with their logo on it and maybe, MAYBE a piece of plastic that covered your face.

I wore a white apron apparently covered in blood.
It was always going to be a lame costume at best, but when I neglected to purchase any fake blood and ended up using the closest thing I could find to fake blood (besides real blood) - beetroot, the blood turned pink someway though the night and I was left looking foolish.
I also managed to get the vast majority of the blood directly over my crotch and looked somewhat like I had been pissing blood.

Zombie is quite possibly the easiest fall-back costume next to t-shirt ninja. Especially if you have a big bag of "I plan to give these to the salvation army, eventually" clothes handy. :D

Yes, that's right, I went as a FLAG NINJA. My hood is a t-shirt I folded up, and my uniform is a sweatshirt turned inside out. That's what happens when you don't plan ahead.

I stole the flags from a crosswalk, which is why they are so shiney.

And the reason they're mysteriously floating in the air is because you can't see me.

Largely because my roommate took OFF his glasses to take the photo, so it's as blurry as a Bigfoot movie.
