New Darkest Hour...

I don't know if this is old news or not, but Darkest Hour has a new mp3 up on their site www.darkesthour.cc

They're abroad recording with the producer who worked with At The Gates (can't remember his name, but At the Gates' recordings were tight) and it has the same feel as At The Gates. Definitely a step away from So Sedated So Secure.

I havn't really dug anything Darkest Hour have done in a while

i think Mark of Judas was awesome - that album was really good.
I hated what they did when they signed victory records though...
its just not the same to me.

Mutilation, this new stuff goes back to their old, more clean sound and it sounds much like At The Gates. Check it out, you will not be disappointed. Their Victory release doesn't have shit on Mark of the Judas. It's better in every aspect. Even the production is better on Mark...

And Darkest Hour is such an odd band to have on victory records.

The production being bad is one of the many perks of black metal haha so that doesn't bother me.

I think that their victory records release had too much of a.... ew gothenburg feel, and i hate hardcore mixed with metal. Suck an ugly sound. At the Gates were the first metal band i ever listend to so they're responsible for the thousands of dollars i've poured into albums since.

well, i think they do, especially in the victory records release.

victory have a nasty habbit of making bad music out of decent bands.

just look at the band heh, not a single one of them pimps the long hair so often associated with metal. ha and yes i realize imagine doesn't correlate with sound, i'm just saying. I still like the band, so i'm not slamming them at all -- i just find them to have a hardcore sound at times. The vocals are like a hybrid for sure.

Listening to So Sedated, So Secure now, and this is a much better band than i took them for at first. I really like this cd, and you say the new one is better, sounds promising.
