Actually, I'm looking to compile a list of some good Christmas/holiday TV specials. Any shows, old or new, would help, though I'm particularly interested in finding episodes from older shows if any of you would like to help. Anybody know if there was an Xmas episode of MacGyver? I know there was one where he has to rescue a stolen Madonna statue on Christmas eve, but I was wondering if there was something a little more Christmas-oriented in the series.

Same goes for any other shows though. Lemme know if you recall any old TV show or cartoon episodes and we might feature 'em on I-Mockery come December!

My favorite will always be Muppet Family Christmas.

But, if you're a bit torrent user, sign up at MySpleen.net. They have a fuckton of animated Christmas specials for download. Even some obscure ones like The Raccoons Christmas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugrats
"The Pickles are a mixed Jewish-Christian family. Many fans say the Pickles are somewhat based on Klasky's real family (for example, as in the show, she is from Southern California and in real life she is a Jew and married to a Christian). There are two episodes that reflect the Pickles' Jewish heritage, one episode deals with the Passover holiday and the other with Hanukkah (in addition to episodes about Christmas, Easter, etc.). These episodes have been praised by Jewish groups and are re-run every year on Nick at the appropriate holiday times and can also be purchased on VHS or DVD."

" * In contrast to the show's tradition of dedicating episodes to explaining the story behind and meaning of Jewish holidays, every portrayal of a Christian holiday has been of a secular nature (and in the instance of Christmas, portrayed simply as a commercial endeavor; in the aforementioned Chaunakah episode, Christmas is actually portrayed as an "antagonist" holiday, as Angelica is too preoccupied with Christmas specials and the concept of presents to want to learn about Jewish heritage)."

Anybody know if there was an Xmas episode of MacGyver? .

I seen a christmas episode of MacGuyver, -RoG-. Sadly, it sucks. The whole episode is about saving some orphanage, MacGuyver building a stage, and telling a girl that "Ice Cream" can break stage fright.

Grislygus

He built that stage with blood, sweat, and tears you ungrateful son of a bitch.

i think love actually is a pretty awesome christmas-centered movie. it's a bit cheesy at times, but i love british humor, and its star-studded cast easily makes up for it. billy bob thornton as the u.s. president. hugh grant as the prime minister. bill nighy playing guitar naked on tv: "i feel it in my fingers. i feel it in my toes."

A Christmas Carol (not the old B&W version, nor the shitfest of the Patrick Stewart version. The George C. Scott version. Best ever.)
Christmas Eve on Sesame Street (shut up, it was part of my childhood)
A Christmas Story (I wait till Christmas Eve to watch this, as it's on 24 hours)
Robbie the Reindeer
How the Grinch Stold Christmas
Home Alone 1&2

That's about it, aside from Christmas Vacation, but I watch that in July simply because it's funny as hell, so that doesn't count.
