is EVERYONE on the forum playing LTTP?

I'm not but I feel like I'm the only one still playing Twilight Princess. In fact I haven't done anything since I finished Goron Mines two weeks ago but I HAVEN'T GIVEN UP YET OK :(

I'm also trying to play FFIII at the same time and I just got the airship that took me off the main island.

hey the cave of ordeals....its in the desert and its under where you find the bridge part...

you use the dominion rod and the spinner and the ball and chain there...

spinner is cool...ball and chain is cooler...dominion rod is coolerer...because when u throw it its like a ball...and u catch it.

yes?

That's just classic.

I remember my last play through I ended with a 1.... Can't remember now where it happened but man... even finishing that game with a 1 is depressing nowadays.

I've just been sitting here, forcing myself to play it thinking it's gonna get suddenly awesome and enjoyable, but I'm at the sacred forest grove and I'm just kind of thinking that's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. >:

I liked the boss of the Lakebed Temple, but other than that I am not having fun at all with this shitty game >:

Actually, you little gender confused retard, I already said (IN THIS THREAD) that it's not as good as I was hoping, but it's still really good, so I'm obviously not creaming myself over it or saying it's the greatest game of all time.

You're just so fucking dumb that you say it's a bad game and act like it's one of the worst games of all time and you're less of a person for playing it (like that's even possible in your case). I don't think anyone gave a fuck about you or your opinion before this, but now it should be even more obvious that you suck, your taste sucks, and the world would be a better place if your mother had an abortion.

Once more, for clarification - No one cares what you think, DJ.

Who's worse?

The nerds who get annoyed by people thinking a game like this one sucks.

or

The nerds who make it a mission to bash the game because it's overhyped (as all games are) and bash the people who like it.

While I thought this game was incredibly mediocre, and either way it's a lose lose situation, I am going to have to say the latter is worse. For the reason that one of them pretended to be a girl for 2 years. I'm sorry, Buffalo Bob, you are never going to live that down.

timrpgland

Guitar Woman
Feb 8th, 2007, 06:03 PM
Seriously, though, this game sucks.

Jesus christ, I mean, after holding out anxiously for three years for this one and dropping fifty bucks for it, are you guys honestly satisfied with the mediocrity of the title, especially compared with every other game in the franchise? Because I'm fucking not. This is like Halo 2 times a million or something.

timrpgland
Feb 8th, 2007, 06:10 PM
UH OH! PMS!

I'm wondering what everyone who knew about this game were expecting anyway? It's a Zelda game guys. If you're tired of Zelda, that's one thing. If you expected something else then I'm not sure why you're playing a Zelda game in the first place.

Guitar Woman
Feb 8th, 2007, 06:17 PM
I'm not tired of Zelda, but this one barely counts as a Zelda game. Lame puzzles mixed with long boring dungeons and a giant empty gameworld makes for a crappy game experience, and I really don't see why you guys are enjoying it.

GADZOOKS
Feb 8th, 2007, 06:19 PM
I don't know what you were expecting. It's a zelda game. They all have the same bullshit "go through # of temples/dungeons collecting either some sort of stones or shards of some sort using the special items to you get along the way". It's been this way for 20 some years nows, and nothing has changed but better graphics and a new gimmick for it each game (Side Scrolling, Time Traveling, or Sailing). This one just happened to be the worse (wolf :rolleyes)

Yeah the game isn't that great, but if you were expecting something different you just as much of a dummy like the ones who fucking flip out if this game gets anything lower then a 10 out of 10 (with the exception of your bonus flaws as a human being).

Guitar Woman
Feb 8th, 2007, 06:20 PM
I was expecting it to be fun, like every other Zelda game. :(

timrpgland

GADZOOKS

Esuohlim
Feb 8th, 2007, 06:46 PM

Zomboid
Feb 8th, 2007, 07:09 PM
Same here. I'm mainly bashing gw because to say it sucks that bad is pretty fucking dumb. It's pretty underwhelming, but it's still a really fun game and is definitely not as bad as dj's letting on.

Buuuuut, I got sick of the wolf stuff really quickly.

Guitar Woman
Feb 8th, 2007, 07:45 PM
Ok, mabye the game isn't as horrible as I'm saying, but it's still pretty fucking lame. Especially after they postponed it like 5 times so they could "make it better."

i will admit this game lacks the challenge of the 2D games. the 3D environment makes puzzles much easier than the NES/SNES games it seems. although OoT was a cakewalk compared to this.

Zomboid
Feb 9th, 2007, 07:56 AM
Huh? I thought the 2d games were just as easy. For the most part, OOT was pretty easy, but that fucking water temple was one of the most annoying levels in any game, ever.

I didn't wanna get a wii to play this one game, especially since I already owned a gamecube. Plus, like gadzooks said, that whole pointer thing looked stupid. I have no probem playing the game with the same kind of controls as the last few.

Zen444

Gamespot was a little too nice with there review of Twilight Princess, they should've given it an 8.0.

Which is what it deserved.

Zinger
Feb 28th, 2007, 09:31 PM
Is it wrong that I have 40+ hours clocked up on this game so far, and I've only just beaten Arbiters Grounds?

What can I say, I've enjoyed just wandering around and ultimately not finding much. My only complaint about the whole game would be how easy it's been. I've never once been stuck inside a dungeon and have killed the bosses with ease on my first try. Hopefully they'll release a Master Quest edition like with Ocarina of Time.

I can't tell if this game was really short or really long.

Zomboid
Mar 10th, 2007, 11:59 PM
Me neither. I kept leaving it paused for long periods of time and just like in oblivion, it made my hours played a lot more than it really was :O

Emu
Mar 11th, 2007, 12:28 PM
It FEELS shorter than the other Zelda games but I've spent more hours on this one than any other (except Wind Waker, because 50% of my hours accumulated was spent sailing)

GADZOOKS
Mar 11th, 2007, 01:04 PM
Oh, Please

If you play to beat it (like I did) it will take you less then a week if you play it like 2 hours a day. It's ridiculously easy and the hardest puzzels (except for the block jumping one which I suck at) all deal with finding the sweet spot for your hook shot and your camera. The only time I really died was at the beginning when you play as the wolf in the dungeon because I couldn't see what was attacking me and I only had 3 hearts.

bigtimecow
Mar 11th, 2007, 01:34 PM
lakebed temple was very frustrating, but yeah, only about 2-3 hours.

still, snowpeak ruins was harder and more mind numbing, but extremely fun.
hopefully i'll get more into the temple of time today :D

Zinger

Cliff Steele
Mar 11th, 2007, 09:21 PM

Cliff Steele
Mar 11th, 2007, 10:09 PM

It makes me wish all the other Zelda games kept track of the time spent playing. Compared to Ocarina of Time it seems like it's taken longer to do less stuff.

Esuohlim
Mar 12th, 2007, 04:42 PM
Oh yeah speaking of the money I've got another gripe about this game that's probably already been complained about (you shut up MicroShlock :rolleyes). But if my wallet is full I DON'T want to put the rupees I find from chests back in them. I can't spend the money fast enough so I've been walking around with a full wallet for most of the game anyway. >:

bigtimecow

sooo the temple of time was pretty sweet and the dungeon boss was the goddamn first boss of OoT! from inside the deku tree! woo.

oh, and that western-like shootout was friggin awesome, EXCEPT! i had 2 more to kill and then i found that wolf stone thing so i did it, and when that whole thing was done it said i still had 20 to kill!!! super lame.

but now this whole section afterwards reminds me a lot like OoT mainly because there is a lot of running back and forth and back and forth getting different items, and NOW of course i have to go to a bajillion different locations for some fucking statues and blah blah blah blah

but it's a great game. really.

Zinger
Mar 15th, 2007, 05:03 AM
I hope Nintendo release a "Master Quest" edition of this later down the line because I need a challenge! I think the 3rd boss from Ocarina of Time was tougher than the last from TP and that's just sad.

bigtimecow
Mar 15th, 2007, 11:44 AM
i'd have to agree that there hasn't been many challenges, especially boss-wise. the floating skull horn thing in arbiter's grounds was probably the most difficult, but it was boooooooooring.

i just got through the temple in the sky. the temple was very... awkward? i dunno, it had it's challenges and the double clawshot is probably the best weapon(s) yet, but it was just very strange. the dragon battle was easy, but GOD was it epic.

i actually heard that the final boss in TP is pretty sweet, but i'll just have to wait and see.

Esuohlim

i actually heard that the final boss in TP is pretty sweet, but i'll just have to wait and see.

Zomboid
Mar 16th, 2007, 01:28 AM
You couldn't honestly expect to have anyone else as the final boss though. I think the whole way that it was presented was cool. Made the final showdown seem epic and classic zelda.

:(

All right well I just got that Snowpeak girl's drawing of the giant with the red fish with 24 hours of play time. I had forgotten that the Zora Prince is sick and I forgot what location the story last involved him because I did it like two months ago so I've been looking for Golden Bugs instead for the time being. It's actually not as hard as I thought it was going to be without a walkthrough.

And since that seer in Castle Town shows you heart piece locations I'm going to see if I really can make it through the whole game without looking anything up at all. The poes will be hard though. :\

Also a friend of mine told me that the Wii version has a mirrored Hyrule only because Link is normally left-handed and most Wii users would be right-handed and would find a left-handed Link difficult to control. I think it's bullshit because they could have just switched Link instead, but I didn't argue because I'm usually wrong about this kind of stuff.

Emu
Mar 27th, 2007, 10:33 AM
That's the main reason, and it gives people a shallow reason to buy both the Wii and the GC versions of the game. It doesn't take much to get gamers to buy two copies of the same fucking thing.

The Zora Prince is in the Graveyard in Kakariko or whatever.

DistantJ
Mar 30th, 2007, 08:23 AM
Apparently though the whole game was based around a right handed Link and when switching hands around they actually had trouble with the way the worlds were designed (I guess from certain puzzles and stuff, the way the sword and shield are, the angles of the weapons he fires, etc) so they switched it.

Anybody notice the bomb shop in Kakariko says "BMOB"? lol
