Uhh, the title is kind of confusing but. Which band has the most of thier thier songs covered by other bands?

I'm gonna have to go with Kevin on that one. Most of the time, beatles covers aren't that great either (Oasis).

Sabbath covers are a must.

My thoughts exactly Ninja. Beatles and Misfits as well, although the Misfits covers aren't the most widely heard, they are pretty common.

Dylan gets his songs covered a lot and people tend to forget he did them originally, such as "All Along the Watchtower"

The Ramones seem to get covered a lot, too. The Misfits get covered more, though. Fuck, even I'm guilty of doing that. Hybrid Moments and Earth A.D. :/

Im gonna have to go with Misfits and Sabbath on this one.
even Im guilty of covering Misfits with my shithole band. Skulls, Scream and Hatebreeders are some of the songs that we toss around...

For awhile there it seemed like alot of punk bands were covering the GOGOs. I wish I could remember who cover "Can't stop the world". That's a good one.

according to the covers project (http://www.coversproject.com), the most-covered band is the beatles at 1221 times. and the most-covered song is bo diddley's "who do you love" at 145 times.

2) Slayer (every half-assed metal/hardcore band tries to cover Raining Blood)

I'd say that "blues" has to be the most covered music genre. Led Zepplin and George Thorogood made a career out of it.

Then again, classical music is done again and again by different orchestras, conducters, ect. (pause) Does that count?
