Oblivion. Gears of war is tons of fun but replayability is a big thing with me.

Hmmm, maybe a game from the wii. All gaming magazines seem to love nintendo now. So I would probably say LOZ: The twilight princesses would be a likly contender.

LOL fair enough. Is oblivion really that good? I really couldn't be bothred to spend time and money to update my computer just to play that game, ecspecially when I just bought Max payne 1 & 2. Noir story telling FTW

There is a great video of two guy's playing Guitar hero and I might buy it but I had to laugh at this comment below.

this is retarded. go buy a guitar and learn to play it. what's next, "virtual reading"? where there's a book, and you have to push buttons for reading each word?

I could see getting guitar hero when it comes to the 360. I don't have a PS2 anymore.

And yeah, Oblivion is that good.

it's better on PC cause you can fix that annoying "the monsters are always the same level as you are" bullshit

unless you can patch the 360 version? idk

Oblivion's main villain was Zod, that alone makes it one of my fav games ever. But not Game of the year :( CoH Rocked for being the best WW2 Strategy game ever.

300 delays doesnot a fantastic game make...unless you're a fanboy. And then...you're a fanboy.

I vote Metal Gear Solid 2 and Fable, because I didn't play shit this year.

I got this for Christmas and have been really looking forward to it. I haven't had a chance to play it yet though. Is it too buggy to even give a chance?

I played the demo and really liked it, but my friend who got the game a while back said that the demo was better made than the game itself.

For starters, the game is having a lot of performance issues with machines that greatly exceed the recommended requirements, and the forums are littered with complaints on this very subject. And then, there's a lot of talk that the game crashes at random intervals. That, combined with the performance problem, makes the game sound a lot like Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and that's enough to scare me away from it (or at least from paying for a copy).

Then, he pointed out that melee combat is pretty much a breeze, which I could see in the demo. Sure, it was a little tricky with mages and bow users, but since just about everybody could be flattened by just mashing the LMB, you'll be practically flying through the game.

I'll still probably get around to playing it sometime, but I think I'll wait until a few more of the issues with are resolved.

gothic III got like a 4.7 at ign or something, mostly for those reasons ;o alot of famous, aticipated games failed horribly this year.

i had Gothic 3 for a bit, it felt like the developers were really onto something, and the game would be a blast to play, but my patience ran out eventualy, running about towns killed your fps, and the combat was a bit random, fights with a gang of bandits were fine, you could kick their asses if they couldnt surround you, but if you dare fight a boar AND YOUR IN TROUBLE

might try gothic 2 instead, or wait for my next pc upgrade in a year or so
