No, they just end up sucking massively like Metallica or the Misfits.
My top six so far, strung out by recent finds & thoughts
1. Jerry Lee Lewis
2. Ween
3. Fats Domino
4. Keiji Haino
5. Blue Cheer
6. Electric Wizard
And, as a bonus, if you want to, six bands you enjoy that you wouldn't see live for anything (and reasons why if you're interested.)

I seen Municipal waste open for GWAR recently. They were great live! They got out a boogie-board and got the crowd to scream "Municipal Waste is gonna fuck you up!" on the mic. Awesome.
Well, I can't honestly think of any bands I wouldn't want to see live that I live except for Boris (because their live stuff is shit.) and Misfits (because well, look at em' now!)

Aww c'mon. You mean you don't want to see a wierd Misfits/Black Flag/Ramones Mutant Hybrid play 50's cover tunes?
Nope. I don't eithier.

It'd be cool to see the Minutemen, The Jam and Six Finger Satellite, but they are all long gone.
Man or Astro-man? are broke up too, but it'd be cool to see them again cause they're amazing.
I bet Paint it Black would be cool, but I'd have a hard time putting up with all the kids are their show.
Also, if Don Cab somehow transformed back into the Don Cab of the mid-90's then I'd like to see that.

Anthrax with the original lineup.
Living Colour.
Opeth.
Primus.
Blues Saraceno.
I would also kill an awful lot of people if I could see Barkmarket live. They were supposed to open for Helmet at a show I went to about 9 or 10 years ago, but their van broke down on the way. They broke up a few months later. :(

man sspad, blues saraceno can fucking play something else, but with how the dude's website reads he's gotten dollar signs tattooed over his eyeballs, which means we'd be lucky to see another album let alone a live performance :(

Yeah, I know. :( Well, I guess the man gots to pay the bills. Maybe he'll do a clinic for whatever guitar he's playing these days. I'd be OK with that.
Christ, I would kill to be able to play the guitar like that guy. If God existed, He would take guitar lessons from Blues Saraceno.

I was lucky enough to see ac/dc live during their razors edge tour In the early 90's in Auckland, New Zealand I was only young then so I didn't really appreciate them as much as I would've a few years later but damn that was my first and to date still my favourite concert I've ever been to. My mum dragged me along when I was probably only about 8 years old. I would love to see them again.

Yeah, I can honestly say that along with Iron Maiden, there is no band I'd look forward to seeing live as much as AC/DC.
Edit: I really wanna see Iron Maiden live after the shit that went down at ozzfest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtPBIqa-22c&NR

something tells me he's quite content to fade into obscurity, sadly :( i am guessing that he's got issues with the bullshit levels in the music industry or some other thing that seems trivial in comparison to knowing he'd rather compose jingles for mcdonalds and the like haha
ive kinda been itching to get my hands on the poison album he played in, i think it was crack a smile, but since i'm more a fan of his solo works i'm not entirely motivated (of course, his playing for poison might as well rank up there with composing jingles for mcdonalds, can't imagine he had nearly as much freedom in that setting)
