Can you stomach the new battle system. then Yeah, its worth it. Even tough the Man-Girl Line is Basically straddled in many character designs.

I think the new battle system is one of its strong points.

I think it's worth playing. Took 65 hours to beat with 29 hunts finished. I don't know if I'll be going back anytime soon but I had fun playing through it. The main problem I have is it felt like the game was leading up to so much more than it actually did.

Oh and Balthier and Mustadio must be related. Bunanza/Bunansa or whatever. The PSP remake of FFT is going to have Balthier in it I guess.

well yeah, most of the enemies in the game have insane amounts of HP, as an example the first time i played the game, i went out on the world map for the fiorst time wandered into a forest and WHAM! fecking T-rexaur is the first monster i fight. 30 minutes, two dead GFs and one dead companion later i recieve what? 790 EXP and a fecking bone! >:

Also, the plot sucks balls, it's like all emo bullshit with angsty teens as maincharacters and discussions like:

Only thing in FF8 I really like is the OST, it rocks
