Evanescence
Every Rap band
James Blunt and every other guy that sounds like him
Fergie and she dies from having her head shoved up her ass
Gwen Stefani
High on the hills with the lonely goatherd, lay-od-lay-od-lay-he-hoo
Yodell back with the girl and goatherd, lay-od-lay-od-low
Wind it up
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low
I'm a stupid Douche bag Yodal Yodal
(Yeah)
This is the key that makes us wind up
When the beat comes on, the girls all line up
And the boys all look, but no, they can't touch
But the girls want to know why the boys like us so much
They like the we dance, they like the way we work
They like that way that L.A.M.B. is going across my shirt
They like the way my pants, it compliments my shape (She's crazy, right?)
They like the way we react everytime we dance
Everytime the bass bangs, realize it calls your name
Let the beat wind you up, and don't stop till your time is up
Get in line now
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low
You've got to let the beat get under your skin
You've got to open up, and let it all in
But see, once it gets in, the poppin' begins
And then you find out, why all the boys stare
They're trying to bite our style

Um, no.
"The band is currently on break from touring and promotion. In the summer of 2006, MTV news speculated on the breakup of the band, based on statements made by Rivers Cuomo in an MTV interview.[18] Many national media outlets picked up on the headline and began announcing the breakup as fact. But subsequent statements by Cuomo in his blog pointed out that he was misquoted and the band is still together and that he had written a lot of songs and planned on continuing to do so. Other members of the band have also announced the band is still together."
Their last album had some great songs on it.

The only song I've ever heard by Modest Mouse is that "float on" crap, which has to be one of the most singularly annoying songs in recent memory. So I do my best to avoid any of their other songs.
One of my friends loves broken social scene, so I've heard more of their stuff. Too mellow for my tastes, but I don't really find them grating.
Oh, and I'd like to add "any Ozzy Osbourne Tribute Band" to my list.

I didn't really think they sold out. I still saw it decent indie rock and I don't like that term "sold out." I'm not saying this because I started on the Good News album, I got Lonesome Crowded West and one of their EPs. There is no doubt that their back catalogue is awesome but I defy anyone when they say Modest Mouse sold out.

6. Bjork. Not because I hate her music (I quite like it, actually), but because she's the most pretentious human being alive.

You don't know the names of their albums? Lonsesome Crowded West was their second LP.
While I try to wrap my head around how someone who knows Modest Mouse didn't understand that sentence, I want to ask you something. Do you subscribe to the indie scene or are you just a Modest Mouse fan bitter that they are on the radio? They're still DIY. They're still indie. They just change their sound. When Mr. Bungle put out California it was more accessible than their other records and nobody said they sold out.
But in the end, there's not middle ground. Nobody's right. If you want to think they sold out, fine. But at least know your shit.

It's the reason Modest Mouse did so shitty when it had the chance. They come out with Float On, people buy the CD's and half of the songs are all about death.
It's COMPLETELY different from anything else they've done, but you could stay that about any of their CDs when compared to the one that came before it.
I really liked The Killers' first CD and their new single, but I got the new one and was very, very sad.
I liked Franz Ferdinand for, like, a month and even bought a shirt and after that month I guess I realized something.

Afi Is neither 'New' nor 'Emo', they've been around for at least ten years. They also did not sell out, but rather worked they asses off and finally got recognized. Is that a good thing? eh, yes and no, yes beacuse as a long-time fan of AFI it's nice to see "my" band being given all the recognition and kudos that they are recieving these days. However it infuriates me to no end when I'm in the mall and i see 12 year old girls decked out head to toe in AFI gear, when yesterday they probably had no fucking clue who the band was. I think i had a point in there somewhere, but probably not.
