Yes. I should know, my brother watches new crap all the time. And it is ALL crap, let me tell you what. And this is coming from someone who used to religiously watch a show about cyborg dinosaur cops.

The new one's not that bad, at least what I saw of it. It follows the comic more closely, I hear. ;(

What was that show called? Dinocops? I vaguely remember it but I know I liked it a whole lot.

why does everyone hate beastwars? It was the only Transformers show that Juttin and I's generation had, since we were born at the ass end of the 80's adn didn't get a chance to see the original as much as anyone should.
The only valid complaint I can think of is that its story ark prevents The original show from occuring, since the Sparks of optimus and megatron are taken, and megatrons is destroyed.

The local Saturday cartoon station aired nonstop reruns of 80's shows when I was a kid. So I actually was raised on Transformers and G.I. Joe, despite my generation.
Of course, my generation had Biker Mice from Mars and Exosquad, so that's something. Beast Wars sucked, though. LOL STARSCREAM'S A RAPTOR

It was kinda depressing at the end tho, watching them kill off like 2/3s of the "Maximals"(good) and all but I think 3 of the "Predacons"(bad)
They introduced some guy who's an ambiguous combination of 2 of the first season characters, and he was easily the strongest guy on the show but before he was able to do anything super cool megatron shot him in the fucking face with the deception warships main guns.

And that hybrid guy between hawk and tiger what ever his name was. he was awesome, i still have his toy in a box some where.

I have the first 4 dvds of the original 1987 cartoon. I was a huge TMNT freak as a kid (part of the club and all that) and it's kind of weird watching these episodes as an adult. I have yet to see one that I don't remember. It's a bit scary actually.

I'm the same way ;(
Watching them again later is fun because now I get all the jokes.

No. They were put in the bodies of their beast wars counterparts temporarily. There's a deleted scene showing optimus take the original megatron's spark out of the new one and put it back where it was before.

That's what happens when you don't download the entire beast wars series complete with extras. Gave me something to do after work for a few weeks. Sucked when I was done though.

I grew up on TMNT & G.I.Joe as a little kid. Funny how one time I watched part of the G.I.Joe movie early in the morning, most notably when duke gets the snake and bleeds a gusher. On the same channel as lamky animes that get 3000 edits per episode and even more whiny bitches about it.
But TMNT? It's incapable of sucking. Even the new series got it right, which is impressive for this day and age. It's like the Ric Flair of kids television.

I can't relate to Beast Wars so.... COWABUNGA DUDES! I should see if my parents have some of my old TMNT stuff buried somewhere. Oh man... remember that TMNT band thing? I bet I still have the cassette somewhere.
It'll be interesting to see if the new movie turns out ok.

I remember that live tour shit. Didn't somebody get electrocuted and had SPlinter singing about skipping stones or something bizarre like that.
They did that for Power Rangers (Which I went to.) and Mortal Kombat (Back when MK suddenly had a family-friendly kick).

With all due respect (for not usually making stupid comments) What the hell are you talking about? Starscream appeared in one episode, after taking control of Terrorsaur. Besides, Starscream (like Terrorsaur) was a winey little bitch, compared to Dinobot (the raptor) who was a badass with a weird-looking sword. Quite frankly i'm getting sick of all this "OUR TV SHOWS AND HE-MAN TOYS WITH THE PLASTIC ROTATING HIPS ARE BETTER THAN YOUR CRAPPY NEW TOYS AND SHOWS" bullshit going around.

The raptor dude always struck me as being VERY similar to Starscream. I didn't mean it literally, I remember absolutely nothing about the plot, only that the toys were infinitely more interesting and badass than the show itself.

people talk shit on beast wars cause they're weird nerd transformer puritans
if you actually watched both shows and weren't a jerk about it, it'd be obvious beast wars has a way more interesting plot. plus, all the tie-ins to the old show were like perfect

My brother spends every waking moment watching the new cartoons, and I feel I'm qualified to point out shit when I see it. If you have doubts about new shows being pure shit, go track down something called "Code Lyoko". Your eyes will burn out of their sockets.
