View Full Version : Games that Need To Be

Top of the list, Lucasarts should hire out and create a brand new X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter style game.
I grew up playing Tie-Fighter. I mastered that game. The story line was insanely intense and the game play awesome.
Now the only way to play fly a X-wing is to play the old Rogue Squadron II games on the GC or play that shit of a game Stars Wars Galaxies (which isn't going to happen)
Anyway, what games do you think need to be made?

-A new Pokemon game with all the really shitty new ones taken out. Just take the first 151, then 200 of the three following generations that don't blow. 351 is more than enough, god damnit. Gamefreak should have focused on improving other aspects of the game instead of heaping on more monsters like they're peanut butter. Red/Blue versions are still fucking godly, though. I swear I've beaten my Red 30 times...I need to replace the battery soon, it's showing signs of AGE. D: (Also, I know people are going to call me a faggot for liking Pokemon, but I don't care. I'm a girl, I believe I have an excuse.)
-A Katamari title on Nintendo Wii. That would be fun shit; if the Wiimote works half as well as I've heard it has, Katamari Wii would be awesome.
-A new Battletoads title, with all the goodies; Big Blag being a fat bastard, Robo Manus making you cry when you can't beat him...though they really need to start varying the heroes' abilities. Pimple should be slow and powerful, Zitz needs to be very fast and less powerful, and Rash has to have some killer combo moves but be medium speed and strength.
-A Terranigma port. Or at the very least, Terranigma on Virtual Console.
-I second that motion on a new X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter game. Awesome games, and the reason we kept a 95 machine in the house until the stupid fucking thing died and we lost our 95 install disc.
-A new R-Type game on a big console; yes, in 2D, with pixelated graphics.

A sequal to Grim Fandango and have it not be a tie-in to Tim Burton's probably-gonna-be-shitty movie.

DbW has a potty mouth!
I always thought it'd be cool to see a real, true fighting game taking place with kids who couldn't fight. The realism of Virtua Fighter with the arcade style of Street Fighter II, all set to like, high school kids. Even better if it was a balanced, legitimate fighting game worthy of tournament play.
All of the kids would fulfil the generic high school archetypes, and a super move would include pulling someone's shirt over their head and giving them a knee. Also, kick to groin.

Eh? Didn't they have a promo for that included on the second one?

yup, it was going to be an overworld based RTS of some sort but it was cancelled.
it probably would have sucked anyway, closed thing we have now is probably overlordhttp://uk.xbox360.gamespy.com/xbox-360/overlord/709168p1.html (which can be argued sounds more like pikmin) or evil genius

DbW has a potty mouth!Do you have a fucking problem with all my swearing? God damn, son!
Also, they need to give the Sonic series a decent sendoff with a proper game, maybe Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Sonic 3 and Knuckles was really the last game in the series that managed to impress me, or that I could even really enjoy. The new games are too much story, and not nearly enough anything else. The classic gameplay that makes you say, "Hell yeah, this is a Sonic game!" is absent entirely, the goofy story bits aren't there...Secret of the Rings looks like it might be good, but they really need to make one last good 2D game before they lay the series to rest.
I'm surprised that no one's mentioned this, but Mario Paint DS/Wii would be so awesome. You could send your mad creations to other people over the 'net, or maybe even email it to yourself to use as a wallpaper...or make a video with music, and add it to the millions of videos clogging Youtube. Hurray!

New splatterhouse game and remakes of mutant league football and hockey. Also, a game where you can play as freddy krueger or jason voorhees type character and stalk and kill people :o
There was one in production a few years ago but I don't think it was ever finished.
Immortal Goat

A follow up to Legacy of Kain: Defiance that finishes the storyline.
Kid Icarus for Wii.
A Star Wars Expanded Universe game where you encounter every kind of trooper that was left out of the movies.

I'm thinking Rival Schools.
Sort of along the same lines, but not with SUPER FIGHTING EXPERTS or baseball bats or anything.
Just, like, literally, high school fights that seem to just happen. Settings would be the lunch room, the front patio, the catwalk, the nearby culdesac, you name it.

I know what you're saying schimid, and it sounds fun but I think there'd be like 5 characters max and 3 of them would have the same move set.
I fought in high school enough to notice that there wasn't a whole lot of diversity in the way people fight.

Oh, no, you're definitely right :=
It's obviously not a really fleshed out idea or anything, and it'd take a hell of a lot to pull it off, but it was always something that I'd kinda like to see done.
