Alive or dead (and this does make a difference) Saddam's reign is over.

Now matter what has happened, no matter what happens now, this much at least is very good.

Many questions remain, there is much to be debated and examined, but there ought to be at least one thread where we note without qualification that it is very, very good he is gone.
