I have to go to a sleep study in about 3 minutes, because that is obviously when 23-year-olds go to sleep or something. Wish me luck ;<

God those are horrible. I can't sleep on my back no matter how much I try.

I can't sleep straight, either.

I sleep curled up, preferably covered with two comforters and even more blankets. I like a lot of blankets.

This study sounds so much more interesting than Gabby Gaga's. But what if somone puts their dick in your mouth and say it's part of the study and you just have to pretend like it's ok!

I heard that happens sometimes!

Wait, what, you're supposed to get paid for this?

I went to test for sleep apnea, and it was one of the most uncomfortable sleeping experiences ever. Having tons of shit glued to your head and torso actually wasn't that bad, though yeah, being unable to switch positions easily sucks. I always roll around at night, although I end up on my back.

The problem with this sleep center is that the mattress was rock hard, I could hear noises from ALL OVER THE BUILDING including laughing, talking, etc., it was pretty cold in the room, and they insisted on keeping this bright purple light on over my head so that they could monitor me not getting any sleep ;< about 2 hours of this bullshit with no sleep, I had them turn the light off, and then I EVENTUALLY dozed off, only to be woken up early about 3-4 hours later for the girl to go 'UHHH, THANKS, BUT WE DIDN'T GET A LOT OF DATA AND YOU'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN'.

OH, THANK YOU. IT WILL BE MUCH EASIER TO SLEEP THE NEXT TIME I STOP BY, BECAUSE I WILL HAVE BEEN BATTLE-HARDED BY THIS ENCOUNTER BRWHAWARAHWHGAHA

Wow, you are only 22 and you are getting sleep apnea? Shit dude, that's typically reserved for middle aged, overwieght males. If it turns out you have it, yay, you get air forced down your throat whenever you sleep from now on.

sometimes deformities in your soft palate can acuse apnea, as can diet, genetics, etc. It's not always reserved to overweight, middle aged men or women.

It runs in my family, and I was just testing for it to see if I did indeed have it ;<

Hopefully the 3-4 hours of sleep I did get was enough time for them to deduce whether I was breathing or not.

It runs in my family too, but as far as I know, I don't have it. My grandfather had it pretty bad, as does my mom and sister.

Good luck with it, Eric.

Eric, yeah, I had me one of them. The kind you get paid for are if people are studying sleep, not trying to see if you have a sleep disorder.

As bad as it all was, and it was just what you said, the morning after when the ripped the electrodes off my chest was the icing on the cake. You ever see 40 yr. old virgin, where they wax Steve Carels chest? Like that.

I was diagnosed with Apnea, but have yet to accept the fact that for my health I am supposed to wear scuba gear to bed for the rest of my life. Currently I'm going with the 'ignore it, maybe it will just go away or not be true' plan, because I'm very, very mature.

I guess you should've studied harder for your sleep test :(

I hope you don't have sleep apnea, Eric :(

If you do, I hope you choose to manfully ignore it the way I have.

Honestly, I don't see why they can't give me a prescription for the machine and then ask me if I feel any better. I constantly have extremely low energy and will sleep for 13-16 hours if I don't make myself wake with an alarm.

I can sleep like a rock, anywhere.

Sometimes, you sleep on rocks.

In an alley.

Because you're homeless.

Strapping a backwards vaccume cleaner onto your face doesn't seem so bad when you compare it to suffocating to death.

My grandfather's got to wear the scuba gear to bed. He's in pretty good shape, too. I hope it doesn't run in the family.

my friend has sleep apnea, and she's only 14, and she's pretty tiny.

At least she says she does, but it might just be cause she wants every frickin pillow in the house so she can keep her head comfortable. Lazy jerk, always like, yea i need all the pillows cause of my apnea.

actually, after reading this thread i get the feeling she either didn't kno what she was talking about or was lying...

bitch!!!
