I wonder if it would piss off the state if the guy requested "a bottle of lye" for his last meal so that he would get to kill himself rather than they? ... that'd show 'em ... he'd have the last laugh for sure over them ... or a least a blood spurintin' chortle. :/ :)

Have you seen some of those orders? double meat cheese burgers, cheesefries, t-bone steaks, whole fried chickens.....

If I had a major food allergy, I would order that and try to kill myself. Of course, it probably wouldn't succeed, and they'd have to put me in a hospital afterwards, which would probably buy me a few months.

Then, of course, comes the mandatory psychological evaluation after a suicide attempt, and they'd rule that I was insane and therefore ineligible for execution. :)

Had to BUMP! Astute observations about how screwed up our U.S. penal system is ... and ALL true to anyone who has ever witnessed the alcohol swabbing at the point of impact of a lethal injection. :)

or if you were an alcoholic ... you would then be once again on the road to alcoholism and in need of further counseling. :)
