"You could see him kind of drop to the ground next to the windowsill and then the kids kept pouring soda on him and kicking him," said Oscar Negron, the building superintendent. "There were a bunch of kids in the lobby, but it was really these three who were doing most of the damage."
Fucking bastards....you know, if they had left him alone after he hit the ground, I might be inclined to give some mercy...but this...I hope those little shits get their asses cored in prison!

Why would anyone beat a defenseless, retarded man? It makes me ashamed to be the same species as people like that. The man worked so hard to control his anger and be self-sufficient, and what does he get? Wailed in the head with a soda bottle and beaten nearly to death, only to lose his life inside of a downtown hospital. People as ignorant as the teens who did these crimes are the kind of people that i would love to see get ripped in half, just for the pure satisfaction of knowing that a wrongful death had been avenged.

Our legal systen is dedicated to justice, not reciprocity. You are no better than they, save within the confines of your own mind, if you truly believe what you have just stated.

No Ror, I don't truly believe that. I know its wrong to want that to happen.
Forgive my emotional outburst. I just tend to lose my temper over things like this.

Okay....I'm about to admit to one of my extremist views. I try not to have them, but I am still human.
An eye for an eye.
If these little fuck ups are found guilty, and with the video it would be hard not too, Damn technicalities(sp)........ I would like to see them have to go through the same thing they put that man through.
I am sick of violent criminals being treated like they are the f'n victims. I am tired of the "my life sucked so I ended up like this".
Screw that. Take some responsibility for your own actions. Stop blaming your family and society and everything else for what you do. For the most part it is complete bullshit and nothing more than a way to try and get out of paying for what you have done.
It makes me sick.

I agree that they should pay severely for this horrible crime, but I don't believe in "an eye for an eye". I think we're above that kind of thing now.
Those guys will pay for their crime someday, whether you believe in karma or hell or whatever. In the meantime, justice will be served and in prison they will have YEARS to think about what they've done.
If even ONE of them reforms and changes his ways during or after prison, then isn't it worth it to have kept them alive?
Oh, and it also angers me that nobody here wants to take responsibility for their actions anymore. You can't shove the blame off on somebody else for something like this.

Personally, I think the concepts of Karma and Hell are just a very passive agressive way to feel better about a situation that upsets you.
And yes, if one reforms it MIGHT be worth it, but not if the other two don't and eventually end up back on the street comitting more crimes and using the excuse "victims of the system"

"An eye for an eye."
"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" -Ghandi, or something ver similar. Couldn't remember if he said Makes or Leaves. In any case, I agree with the G-man.

Ror,
I used to feel that way too. I was a very hardcore pagan (still hate that term) who believed in Karma and the Law of Three. But I've seen too many bad people get away with things and far too many good people suffering because of it. (Turn this into a political discussion and it is the same reason why I think the whole Socialist Utopia is a great big unfair load of crap)
The more of this kind of thing that I see the more angry and bitter I become.
