View Full Version : How many systems do you have hooked up/ready to play?

It seems as though all my friends instantly store their old systems in basements as soon as the get a newer one, which I think is fucking ridiculous. I keep my hooked up and just find a different place for my newer one, because I'm always going back to my old ones.
Right now I have my NES, Genesis, Playstation, Gamecube, and my N64 hooked up to three TVs, and my Game Boy Color and Pocket with batteries. That makes 7 systems.
How many of yours are ready to play?

I only have 1 TV in my apartment so I have to store some of my systems. My PS1 is being used on my stereo since my cd player in my stereo doesn't work. :/
The ones that are hooked up to my TV are PS2, GC, SNES, and N64. My GBA is at work. My DC, NES, and Genesis are under my TV in a box ready to go whenever switching is needed.

I have NES, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, X-Box, N64, Playstation, GB color, and GB Advance SP spread out through some rooms. I'm still looking for an Atari but no luck. :(

You must also want detatched retinas.
I own a Virtual Boy, but I left it out of my list because I have it stored deep in my attic where I hope future generations will find it and experience the same eye pains I did.

Currently hooked up to one TV (thanks to a cool switch box thingy that I bought for 10 bux) I have:
NES
SNES
Playstation 1
Sega Dreamcast
Nintendo Gamecube
Panasonic 3DO
I could have the Atari 2600 hooked up too, but it just takes up too much space down here. The Nintendo Virtual Boy and the Atari Jaguar are also hooked up to a small TV in our closet that people can sit in. We call it "the punishment room".

I don't like cock, unless it is chickens. Does it count if you have emulators on your Dreamcast?

I only have a PS1 with a NES ROMS Cd, DDR 4th, Metal Gear Solid, and ridge racer r4, and a game boy color with metal gear and ghostbusters 2.
:(
Playing RCR on the PS takes up all my time at home, and metal gear on the gbc the time travelling.

Hmm, lets see if I can remember all of them. I have a PS2, Sega Genesis, NES, Sega CD, N64, Gameboy Color, Game Gear, SNES, GBA SP, and a PSX. And out of those I have all but the PSX hooked up/ready to play.

That happened to my aunt's retina, once >:
Anyway, I recently got one of those A/V splitter, which lets you hook all your systems into one little contraption and with a press of a button the system is ready to go. I put it all on one of those big media center shelves, it's pretty boss.
So I have PS2, Gamecube. X-BOX, Dreamcast, Okama Gamestation, and other older systems.

OK, if you count actual systems, just three.
PSOne
PS2
Gamecube
Now if EMULATORS count...
NES
SNES
Genesis
Game Boy Advance/color/original ol' shitty Game Boy
I do still have my NES and SNES... in some form.
My NES... I've had it since 1985, and being that it has been in heavy usage since then, it has of course given up the ghost long ago. The SNES.. I have no working controllers for it. Serves me right for having a nasty control throwing habit in the mid 90s.

I've got a splitter box too. Let's see: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS2, and a GBA are all set up and raring to go in the blink of an eye.
I used to have a Dreamcast, but I sold it for something. I can't remember what.
I also had an XBox, but I got rid of that for the Gamecube. I hated my XBox.

Actually, your Nes isn't ready to play in a blink of an eye. You have to blow the hell out of the cartridges to get them to work. >:

Heh, I have the same thing. My friend Russ, who works at a few game reviewing sites and magazines, got it for me right after I got my PS2.
I currently have the following hooked up;
PS2
Sega Dreamcast ( best fucking system ever >: )
Xbox ( I only bought this for CVSNK2 EO, which I haven't played in a while :( )
Game Cube ( The only system I play lately :/ )
NES
Gameboy Advance

I too need one of those boxes. Between all the mess in my room and controller cords I risk a broken neck, or at least a broken leg when I try to switch between different things. I have to change all the cords for Sat., VCR, PS2, GCN, XBox, SNES, and N64. My Virtual boy is still hooked up and ready to play. My Game Boy's are used most of the time as I'm too goddamn scared to try to change wires.

Actually, Cap'n, I don't really have a problem with that. The only thing I have to do for my old NES carts is reposition 'em so they'll play. A lot of times I just get the blinking power light, which pisses me off to no end.

My method is to put it under your shirt, then blow. Try cleaning them with alcohol and q-tips. That is what causes the blinking light. If that doesn't work, I stick another game on top of the one in. Well, I have to do that with Karate Kid, my game is messed up. I'm getting a multi-thingy tomorrow for all of my systems. :)

Actually, I have no problems whatsoever with my NES. All my friends' NESes either blink on and off, or have the annoying white lines running down the screen, or will just freeze sometimes. Mine works perfectly, and has been for about 15 years now.

I didn't say anything to you Dewey. Mine works fine too, I'm just giving out some of the methods for people with messed up NESes.

You obviously don't remember saying this then:

My post was in reference to that.

Yes, I got it for 20 dollars at Gamestop, and it can hook up 10 systems. Its working fine, but I really want my club pack to come so I can hide the Gamestop sign with a sticker. :)
