So I've been planning to buy few games asap I get my own pc and one of those games would be RE4.

Apparently the game has received pretty much mixed reactions, others saying it sucks while the others say it's great. Has anybody of you guys tried the game?

I've heard that the graphics are horrible, but can be fixed with a patch you can download from capcom's website, so the graphics shouldn't be a problem. What concerns me are the controls, are they really that bad? I've read that you can't use your mouse and that the game is almost impossible to play without having a game pad. And apparently there is no official patch that would allow you to use mouse in the game.

So anyone who has played the game, is it worth of buying?

If you can get it on Gamecube, go that way.

Considering that you can't use the mouse at all and that Ubisoft has screwed up the last few games they've put out (i.e., Dark Messiah of M&M, the PC version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent, etc), you'd be much better off getting a console version of the game. I prefer the PS2 version, as it has some extras like "Separate Ways" that aren't in the Gamecube version, but either one is fine, really.

I read somewhere that there'll be a wii version with all the ps2 stuff included, so I'd get that if I didn't already have it for gamecube.
