For me, it would be Duke Nukem 3D. It would be the perfect FPS for a handheld. Its fast, fun and the levels are short enough.

The Secret of Monkey Island on the Nintendo DS. The split screen would be perfect for inventory and the pen would work great for getting around in the game.

Super Smash Bros. is the only one I can think of that HASN'T been done. And isn't that on the way?

Final Fantasy Tactics? PSP re-make will rule, the GBA is weak. People only gave it high ratings because it was tactics on the handheld.

StarFox? Done. Thankfully better than all the other StarFox games now.

Mario Kart? Done right.

Castlevania? Done.

Resident Evil? Done (Though not in a good way.)

DooM? Done.

Twisted Metal? Done.

Shitty Godzilla fighter made by Atari? Done.

Earthbound? Done twice...in Japan.

When you really think about it...every series has some handheld companion.

Well that's all well and good for Japan but here in God's country I want to be able to fight Master Barf in the checkout line of my grocery store >:

Oblivion... oh wait. :rollseyes

But a good Goldeneye game, a port of it, a spiritual sequal even, would be awesome so long as it's in the same vein as the original. Do-able by today's hardware.

Any PC first person shooter can work on the DS. The Stylus is a good replacement for the mouse (besides my hand cramping up while playing Metroid Prime Hunters). But with the DS becomming the newest system on which all the old school sequels and remakes are coming out for, i am hoping for a New Double Dragon game. Its the perfect time for it. They could put in more moves, more weapons, and more violence against hookers weilding whips.

The thing I don't like about the DS is that, because of the stylus, you can never just lay down somewhere and play. I always have to set it on a table and sit in front of it if I'm playing for more than 10 minutes :(

Earthbound should have gone to the GBA anyway :(

Prehistoric Man. Goddamnit that would rule if it was one the GBA and if they didn't mess with ANYTHING.

Its not that bad man. Just play through it. I spent a couple of hours playng Metroid Prime on the DS using the stylus and now its the only way i can play the game. Its like analog sticks when FPS games started to use them. It feels weird now and your hand cramps up, but after a while you feel comfortable with it.

I would love to see Crusader No Mercy and Crusader No Remorse come to the DS. Imagine the Possibilities.

I just bought Puzzle Quest about a week ago and it's the only game I have that uses the stylus exclusively. And it's pretty addictive so I'm playing for hours at a time, but yeah you're sort of right. I starting to not really notice anymore.

Puzzle Quest is an awesome game by the way, everyone should get it

You probably don't notice anymore because your nerves have been completely worn out and gone numb, and carpal tunnel syndrome is right around the corner. :)

I'd like to see a port of a 'Craft game on DS. Like maybe WC 1 and 2 with expansions. Or even Diablo.

Funny you bring that up Choj... I have the R4DS unit arriving in the mail tomorrow. I ordered it last week specifically so I can put ScummVM on my DS to play Monkey Island and other classic LucasArts adventure games.

Yeah, but my problem with the R4DS is that i would have a overwhelming temptation to Bootleg DS games if i bought it. I have no problem with "Backup" Dreamcast, PSX, and PC games, but leave the handhelds out of it.

Pirating games passed with me the same way it did with pirating music.

I got tired of not actually having the discs and deleting the entire album without any physical record of the album having existed. And I don't want a CDR with all the songs on it and just have spools of 'em.

Jeff The Ninja
Jul 15th, 2007, 07:00 PM
Thats true. I may have a lot of pirated stuff on my comp and on some CD-R's, But i will only pirate things that i have no chance in getting my hands on, due to availability or price. If that game costs 200+ dollars, it isnt worth it, no matter how good it is.

Not sure I see your logic there, why do handhelds games get special treatment while other systems are AOK?

Fathom Zero

Because they're "more expensive," of course!

Too easy!

I would like to see Okami on the DS :( I'm not too good with the drawing with the analogue stick.
