This is a year old, but I don't know if this has been posted before. I couldn't find it here. And I think it's worth a read.
I'm pretty optimistic about the future. I don't worry overmuch about the speculation in this article. But I agree very much with a lot of its points. What do you think?

While I don't think there is a concerted effort by Muslims to take over the world, I do see some of the fears the author expresses. Islam simply isn't organized as it once was. Too many mini factions and such. But, that doesn't seem to stop some groups from wanting to do it.
And I completely agree with his point about not half assing a fight. War has to be brutal and ugly and the most horrific thing human beings can do to each other. Thats the best way to discourage it from happening again.

As you say, they may not be concerted, but millions of individual Muslims have the same basic individual goal of their religion eventually taking over the world, and I think that merits some concern. See the author's following article (May 2006) for a little elaboration on this.

OK, I had no idea Muslim communities in Europe were trying to be their own sovereign nations and ignoring the laws of the countries they are in. How does that bullshit fly?

Religious freedom means carte blanche to do whatever your religion says you can do, right? And Islam conveniently prescribes its own legal code and social framework, ergo in a country that values religious freedom, Muslims get to run their own society. Neat, huh?

Silly me, I just thought it meant you can't be persecuted for calling god by whatever name you choose (if you choose to refer to a God at all). All of this is contingent on whether or not you are playing nice with the rest of society.
