kicks off today, but last night Microsoft had their big press conference extravaganza. Every game there showing at this years E3 will be out by Holiday 07. That in itself is insane with titles like: Halo3, Assassins Creed, PGR4, NFL 08, Bioshock, and Resident Evil 5

Bioshock looks interesting, but that's only gonna be out for the Xbox, innit? That's no help to me. >:

As expected, the PSP 2 is an upgrade, but unremarkable. It has a minute amount of flash memory, thinner, lighter, and comes in different colors. The packs come with a game or movie and a 1 gig stick for 'bout $200.

Are there any redeeming qualities about the PS3? I mean, my little brother has one, but he lives in Lafayette, so I can't really fuck with it. Plus, he's not really a gamer.

Further, I'm not really interested in the PSP in the slightest. They have zero games that I want to play. Besides, why would I want to play rehashed PS2 games with subpar graphics anyway? My little brothers in houston both have DSs and those things are fun enough for me (even though I only played them on the can, which really passes the time and the ol' fudge dragon), and *gasp*, possibly even better than the PSP. They obviously can't play DVDs or video, but the only people I know with PSPs just put a lot of porno on them. Why? To show people how cool they are, duh!

I think Sony will need a miracle to help them for this Christmas season, no? I'm talking like a 1980 beating the Russians in hockey miracle.

I'm buying a Wii soon so that my girl and I can game together and have a good time, but when it comes to "MattJack time" I will have my Xbox360.

Anyways, Sony is the worst in my awesome opinion.

Sony's press conference was pathetic. It came down to "we only have the games that everyone else has", Chewbacca, PS3 price drop, new un-exciting PSP, and Metal Gear Solid 4

Get one. Never had a problem with mine and I like not having to upgrade for my 360 to play the newest games.

Oh, and I do wish Microsoft would actually fix the 360s before they go to market and somehow let us know which ones are safe - fear of it blowing up is the main reason I haven't gotten one yet.

Yup, I plan on buying one too, but I'm still waiting to hear that they're actually stable and hopefully they'll even get a lil' price cut eventually. I definitely like the Xbox Live Arcade titles (like the new Pacman, and the upcoming sega classics like Streets of Rage 2 which will feature multiplayer online play) - some truly great stuff and just as fun as the Wii Virtual Console games. Just gotta wait it out for now...

moments after reading this post my 360 gave me the Red Ring of Death, and then almost immediately after the power supply on my good computer made a pop sound and killed my motherboard. I'm not even fucking Kidding :(
