Seriously, the cat that refuses to diet is getting his own movie! The plot going along the lines of this:

Anyway, directing this movie will be Peter Hewitt. Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow are the co-writers. Jon will be played by Breckin Meyer, Liz (the vet, for you Garfield newbies) will be played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Stephen Tobolowsky will play some guy named Happy (no relation to the dwarf). However, the voice behind Garfield has not yet been cast. Whoever it is, he'd better sound like Lorenzo Music!

Anyway, I am pleased with the announcement of the Garfield movie. I predict "Garfield: The Movie" will do for cinema what "Scooby Doo: The movie" did for the urban footwear market.
