I think past years have been slightly better, but it looks pretty good for this year. To bad i can't go on saturday, but i'll be there on friday.

Saturday looks better too.

I'm gonna see if i can make it on Saturday. I like the fact that i only know of maybe 1/4 of the bands on the roster, 'cos that means i'll have more to start liking.

i was board so here's a list of the bands i want to see at the fest and a rating of how much i want to see them (1-10)

-Friday-
Misery Index-8
Shadows Fall-7*
Nora-6
Killswitch Engage-6*
Bongzilla-5
Opeth-5

-Saturday-
The Haunted-9
Lamb Of God-9
Mastodon-8
Pig Destroyer-7
The Red Chord-7*
Dysrhythmia-7
Beyond The Sixth Seal-7*
Cephalic Carnage-6*
Unearth-6
Strapping Young Lad-5
Hate Eternal-4
Goatwhore-4
Converge-4

the bands i've stared i've already seen live, and even the ones that got lower scores i still would love to see but i don't think their anything too great.

there are a couple of other bands i've heard of and would like to see but never listened too

I would kill to see the saturday show but i have a flight out to colarado at like 5 in the morning >:

Pig Destroyer alone is reason enough to go.

Hate eternal is playing? i thought i heard something about a van accident and someone was injured.

they would be one of the sole reasons i'd go to that show -- though its a little far north for me to consider. King of all Kings
is one of the best albums death metal has churned out in a while.

Lamb of God = A pile of suck. What the fuck is on their singer's back???
Atreyu = trying to be Darkest Hour and Death By Stereo
Beyond The Sixth Seal = amazing
Most Precious Blood is way overrated.
The new Haunted record is awesome, check that shit out.
Broken Wings or ON Broken Wings?
Pig Destroyer = yes
Uphill Battle = yes
I just saw Unearth, their singer got knocked out on their next to last song. :(
Scarlet is playing by me in a week...its gonna be fun :)

I'm kinda upset cuz I heard Cradle and Children of Bodom were going to come to the states to play this...and it didn't happen.

I really like Atreyu's album on victory. I dont really see them as a Dbs imitator..although they do get the Dbs singer in for a song and it is produced by one of the member... but they sucked when I saw em live. They are coming back soon though..hopefully they are better.

feel fortunate.

dani filth is a horrible vocalist and they've pretty much let any metal-morals go out the window. Their demos were metal, but this stuff they're churning out now is just for the money. They're even under Sony now aren't they? I thought parts of "Dusk... And her Embrace" were okay, i gave the band a chance, but i still would truely prefer not to see them play...

i've heard great things about this bands live performance
i hear that even if you don't like their music, you'd like watching
them play.

Anybody in Richmond or that general area ought to see them
play.... i think its may 12th. You can find out exactly by going
to www.pheer.com if you care. its the relapse tour i think.

He dyes it? Jesus fucking Christ that is gross. While they played at Hellfest, Killswitch Enage's singer (Howard, not the old singer) on the other stage kept making fun of the patch on his back. That cowboy hat thing is also pretty freakin gheigh.

I saw em last nite. it looks like someone stapled a toupee to the guys back. They werent bad, but I wasnt really into it either.

Chimaira played, everyone was really into them, I dont reallly get it...but it was fun i guess.

Atreyu sucked. A bit better than last time but still quite the disapointment shince I like their album so much.

Eighteen visions, nothin special but a fun band to see.

Carnivore and I drove 24 hours or so (one way) to attend the Milwaukee Metalfest one year. It can be done!
