Actually, what glow is talking about are flashes of light caused by too much or too little oxygen.

Floaters are constant particles that distort the light and create shapes in your view. They're pretty hard to notice when it's dark, but when you look at a bright surface, they're very visible. I've got them in heaps.

Wait is that what Glowbelly is talking about, or is those just the ones you see floating in front of your eye sometimes?

Edit: nvm pjalne answered :)

No, those are just the ones you see floating in front of your eye sometimes. Glowbelly talks about optical flashes of light, this is a physical particle that throws a shadow on your cornia or retina or something.

I sometimes have what glowbelly's talking about.

And pjalne, I have what you're talking about too. But it's wierd. It's like, I look at one thing, and then I look at another, and that "particle" slowly catches up to my current focus. I thought I had a tumor or something. Glad to know it's a common thing.

I get those star things too. I usually get it when I get up really quick. I have those floaters too. I try the follow them with my eye, and people watching me go, "What the fuck are you doing?" :)

One of mine is shaped like a bird, and when I was little I would try to focus on it constantly. Whenever my parents asked me what the hell I was doing, I insisted there was a bird in the house. They were seriously worried about my head until they took me to an eye doctor and got a diagnosis.

I saw stars today when I was trying to see if I need to shave under my armpits or not. I decided that I did need to, but I'm not going to.

whoa. Can they move too? Like walk jump and squirm? And look like snakes that burrow in the wall or look like a tall man-ish thing with a scary grin and a sorta cape that can almost fly?

I hope that you all appreciate that it really is difficult to scan ones armpit.
