Bush suppports an extention of the ban on assault weapons!

The NRA is shocked becuase they vehemently oppose extending the ban!

Naldo! Who's right on this one, Bush or the NRA?! This a huge opportunity for you to show the ability to present yourself as an individual!

The Bureau of Justice Statistics reported in 1993 that violent criminals only carry or use a "military-type gun" in about one percent of the crimes nationwide*

Do they define just what that is or are thy the happy-types about having come up with that phrase?

My point in posting this is to see if Ronnie is capable of choosing between Bush and the NRA.

I think he's been busy trying to find a nice hand gun border, layette and crib bumper set for the babies room.

It's frustrating that the two people on this board who seem to share my opinion on gun control refuse to enter any disscusion about it. :/

I'll make this my last post in this thread so that it can resume its true purpose. Speak up Ronnie. >:

"Military-type" would classify as any semi-automatic or automatic weapon I believe. That would most definitely extend to asault weapons.

Its funny that there is a direct proportion of actual usage in crime to "dangerousness" of a weapon. According to the FBI, people have a much greater chance of being killed by a knife or a blunt object than by any kind of rifle, including an "assault rifle." In Chicago, the chance is 67 times greater.*

It's automatic.

Thanks for the fact.

It's not liiegal to own an automatic weapon. All you have to do is get a BATF license and a 6 month ATF and FBI background check.

Personally, I don't have a use for one because I don't think it's necessary for self defense. So I would have to say that I agree with Bush.

It you really feel like you need one, you can still get one if you pass the background check.

I can't tell you how shocked I am that Naldo didn't say if he agreed with Bush on the ban extention or the NRA.

Who's right on this one, Naldo? Bush or the NRA?

Are you honestly not able to answer?
