Okay, I went out to Blockbuster and rented the Ring. There was all of this hype about the movie, so I HAD to see it. I watched it after I rented it; it wasn't even scary. Everyone said it would make me jump, and shit my pants. When they flashed the guy's face at the end, it look like fucking clay, CLAY DAMNIT. People based the whole movie's scariness on those parts where they showed the faces. :yawn

Yes, but there's a pretty cool extra on the video. Keep pressing down at the DVD menu (Assuming you got a DVD) and the arrow will not be visible. When none of the options are highlighted, press select. Watch and be amazed. :)

I thought the same thing. That's sad.

I can't believe "ringu" is Japanese for ring.

It was like a two-hour long Tool music video.

I don't see anything wrong with that.

It was better than I expected, but I didn't think it was scary, either.

I just thought it was a two hour garbage banaza that wasted 5 dollars and 29 cents.

I fucking loved it. It wasn't "jump out of your seat" scary, it was eerie and creepy. I like that kind of thing a LOT more than the more typical type of horror movie where things are jumping off the screen in your face and trying to make you jump.

The Japanese version was boring, unfortunately. I didn't like it at all.

That is because you have no grasp of how the Japanese language works.

"Ring", as a proper name, has no equivalent kanji and must be written in katakana as "http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jmdaniel/ringu.jpg", or as "ringu" in romaji.

I hated the Ring. It was nihilistic shit; nothing in the film added up to mean anything. It was all, we did this, but we are to lazy to explore the consequences, so we'll just in a 'cliffhanger' way. But the end was boring and useless.

I don't see anything wrong with that.

It was a cool movie.

It had much better effect in the theatre though.
