Does anyone here have one? :/

I used to think they were places where people with no life can record every moment of their uneventful existence for a cheap sense of accomplishment. But now I know that they're mainly used by women to bitch about people behind their back.

So, I have one now. The link is in my sig.
Someone here be my friend so my list will be less pathetic.

Yeah, I had one for a project I was working on (http://www.livejournal.com/~bongwater). I don't post in it now, but I use it to post in other communities. I may get another one to discuss personal problems at some point, since I don't really like that username.

You might be able to change the name...

It's hard as shit to get a LJ password to make one, so I'd say just delete all the old entries and use it. Or maybe even contact LJ support to have them change the name if you can't.

My blog will be going up on I-Mockery soon. It was actually supposed to be up last November, but things kept dragging alone. It won't be a livejournal though... simply because I have more control over the customization if I run my own one.

Here is an entry of what would be my live journal.

Dear Diary,

Today I woke up at 12:30. Then I went to the grocery store and bought food. Then I came back and watch tv and played on computer all day.

the end.

For that reason I will never have a live journal.

Mew, I gave my code to Amber, otherwise I'd give you mine. When she's had hers for a week (which might have happened already), she'll get a code and I'll give you that one, provided you promise to give me your code after a week. ;>

*Whorable, that's no excuse. I mean, look at Kamek's Livejournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/neo_kamek/).
You too could be an endless source of ridicule and hilarity for the rest of us. Check this out:
A quick glimpse into the life of Kamek. I have not been updating this thing as regularly as usual.

FRIDAY: Supposed to take Michelle out. It doesn't happen, because she vanished. I don't go to Derek's either, I end up playing The Sims Online all night.
SATURDAY: I went to Natalie's house in Richmond. Lots of fun! She helped me with my Chii costume, and bought me panties to wear with it, hee hee hee. They actually feel kinda nice! We had a nice fun day, we mostly ended up playing dress-up in each other's clothes. Oo don't ask, hehehe. I want to steal her sister's red sandals, they go so well with the costume. I got home, and talk to Michelle online... she doesn't want another relationship. I'm heartbroken.
lol

Haha, unfortunately most people WANT to post that crap. I'm guessing the only shit I'll post is site news and/or random photos I take. My only hope for it is to give me motivation to write on a more regular basis. o.o

Yea, The only reason I would consider it is to perhaps make me a better writer and even perhaps help me realize how boring my life is and at least learn to make it sound more interesting. I guess it could help to improve my creativity a bit.

but then again I dont need to post something online no one will read, and also I am lazy.

But dont get me wrong I think some people's journals can be entertaining.

There's like 2 journals that I've ever found interesting. All the other journals that I've read have pretty much been a 1-read only. But yeah, it could be useful for writing exercises... then again, so could a diary that you keep to yourself. I guess it depends on whether you want (or think you'll have) an audience.

Mine is completely private.

I write down all my psychotic ramblings that I figure no one really wants to hear.

I just made my own blog and put it on my website. I found out that my parents avidly read it, so I got in a little troule for drunk driving with a hobo in my car.

I hate livejournal because it's such a frequently used tool in the widely passive aggressive female population on the web ;( But you already said that.

edit: HATE. NOT HAVE BUT HATE. I AM NOT KAMEK.

One of the main reasons I never got a livejournal is because of their constant downtime. I swear, like 90% of the time I try to access someone's livejournal I have to reload it a few times just to get it to load (and even then sometimes they don't load). You'd think a company so popular could afford better servers/bandwidth.

I've never tried it but I could see it as a useful tool if used correctly for things like:

1) Improving writing skills (previously mentioned).

2) As means of self-examination and/or self-improvement.

3) Personal history of thoughts and not mere rantings.

I used to use Open Diary, which was a much gayer version of LiveJournal. If I knew about LiveJournal at the time, I would used it.

Open Diary sucked because you had to make an entry within 15 days of your last one or it will be closed, so I ended up just making a bunch of bullshit entries just to keep it from being deleted, then I stopped altogether. :/

I hate seeing all these blogs and livejournals and maybe gaybe diaries. People who presume their life is entertaining enough to put to paper are either morons or liars. Me? I'm a liar. Everyone else? Morons.

But seriously, these livejournal things? Come on people... You're not that interesting. No one fucking cares.
