Funny for maybe the first half of the movie. Then it became way too sappy and preachy for a comedy. If you intend to see it, save a few bucks and wait 'til it comes out on video.

Well fuck stick! I was going to go see that. I guess its better I hear it from you that wasted 8 bucks at the theater.

Mock, let me just say that I am deeply disappointed in you for seeing that movie >:

Why? Jim Carrey rocks, man.

But I suspected as much from the same creative mind(s?) behind Liar Liar, probably my least favorite Jim Carrey movie.

Exactly. A few funny parts and the rest is preachy crap. It would be impossible for them to make a movie like bruce almighty without doing the same thing.

Yep. I like Jim Carrey a lot, I just think he often chooses bad roles. The Truman Show is still my favorite film of his. I gotta get that on DVD.

And yeah, I paid matinee for it because I suspected it would be a let-down and didn't want to waste extra moola on it.

I also like Jimbo, but i knew it was something i wouldn't directly pay to see. Thank god for HBO.

I only like Jim Carrey when he isn't in any serious roles. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective still remains to be my favorite Jim Carrey movie.

I don't know if I'll see this or not. It doesn't look like total shit, but after seeing Anger Management I tend to stay away from the theaters.

They should remake "A Clockwork Orange" with Jim Carrey as Alex.

Or not.

Me, Myself & Irene was a pretty good movie, I thought.

Me, Myself & Irene is my favourite Carrey movie alongside Man On The Moon. Ace Ventura would come in third.

Dumb & Dumber was ok, but mostly due to the fact that it had such a great cast. I've yet to see The Truman Show.

I didnt like The Truman Show all that much. But Ide have to agree that Me, Myself, and Irene was a damn good movie.

Just think of the possibilities if they gave 35 year old Pauly Shore that role.

OH! THE POSSIBILITES!

Bruce Almighty was ok, it kinda got stale at the end.

I love the Cable Guy, Man on the Moon, Dumb and Dumber and the Truman Show. Ace Ventura is classic as well, I think that was the hardest I'd ever laughed in the theatre (until Dumb and Dumber).

I think it's hilarious that it knocked the Matrix out of the top spot.

Only Jim Carrey could play Ace Ventura and make it funny.

The only somewhat serious movie Carey was in that I enjoyed was Man On The Moon.

The Trueman Show was the best thing Jim was ever in. Bruce Almighty was alright. It was pretty cool when he was finding out his powers and parting the tomato soup. And turning into Clint Eastwood was funny. Making that reporter from The Daily Show say jibberish was the best part though.

If I go see this movie and Jon Stewart isn't in it I'm going to be angry. >:

dumb and dumber was great
however, after watching the trailer for the prequel I can safely assume that it will suck ass
how could they possibly replace Jim and Jeff and expect to get away with it?

Dumb and Dumberer doesn't look all that bad. The guy they've got to play Carrey's role looks and sounds pretty spot-on. I doubt I'll see it in the theatre, though.

The Mask was probably my favourite Jim Carrey movie, if only because it introduced me to Cameron Diaz. Well, that and the fact that it was funny as hell.

bruce almighty was alright, i didnt really like most of the scenes, IMO Jim Carrey is capable of being funnier than he was in certain scenes.
