For the first time in two years. Apparently my vision is going deeper and deeper down the shitter. They raised the prescription on my right eye from -7.50 to -8.00. I don't really know what that means, except without corrective lenses I ain't seeing shit. For some reason, my left eye sees better than my right one and my prescription for it isn't changing. My left eye is still only at -6.50.

At least I get new contacts and glasses. :(

I fucking hate getting my eyes dilated. I can't see shit. This post probably is already full of spelling errors because I can't see what the fuck I'm typing. God dammit, if I wanted to see double, I'd do it to myself. >:

But I bought a box of doughnuts and a jug of chocolate milk from the grocery store for 3 bucks :rolleyes

;_;

That is still brilliant. http://www.fragile-minds.com/emoticons/smiletear.gif

I had a lot of eyetests as a kid, but eventually I wasn't given glasses after all. But now I think my eyes are going to shit because I'm always leaning in too close to the PC screen.

I'm red-green colorblind, which means some shades of red and green look a lot alike to me, and if there's a stop sign in a bunch of trees and bushes and other foliage, I sometimes can't see it.

Years ago, when I was about 13 or 14, I went to the eye doctor. It was a new eye doctor because for some reason my family never went to the same eye doctor more than once. She was giving me the color blind tests, where there's a circle full of colored dots, and the colored dots form letters or numbers that you can only see if you see right. I couldn't see anything in the one that tests for red-green colorblindness, because, d'uh. But she says in this real accusatory tone "I don't believe that you don't see anything." I had to convince her that I really was red-green colorblind. Bitch.

Stupid doctor... if she doesn't believe her patients' answers, it invalidates the entire concept of an eye exam.

:love Yus :love

I got my first pair o' glasses at the age of 12. I didn't really need them either, my vision is 20/24. It turns out my doctor was a fraud :(.

I have about 5 points of what-you-people-call-it on the left eye, and 3 on the other. I can't see shit after the first 20 metres. The doctor gave me glasses to wear when I was 13, but I wore them once and they gave me the most unbelieavable headaches, so I decided not being able to see clearly afar isn't as important as not having your head explode and shelved the glasses. Still have them somewhere on my bookcase.

Last time I saw the eye doctor he stuck a needle in my left eye. So that put me off returning.

I got a metal flake in my eye when I was working at a metal machining plant. I was working at a grinding wheel and it went right up under my safety glasses. To remove the flake, the doctor had to put some kind of dye in my eye to see it better, turn on hella bright lights, and poke some kind of magnetic needle-looking thing right into my eyeball. All the while, the nurse was holding my head in a vice-like grip and the doc was telling me not to move. Fat chance of that Doc when there's a pointy thing headed right for me peepers. I finally willed myself to keep still but I didn't like it. No sir, I didn't like it at all! >:

I had that dye put in my eye when I had a corneal scratch last december. It was a never-ending fountain of liquids going into my left eye. Then they swabbed over my eye with a tissue on a stick to test for cultures. In the end, they basically gave me a bottle of Clear Eyes and scolded me about my bad contact lens habits.

Tomorrow I'm going back to the eye doctor to try out the cool new pair of Ralph Lauren Polo frames (lol) that are small and light and stylish yet somehow cheaply priced which means there is probably something wrong with them and they come in my choice of gun mental or gold.

Which is good because my current glasses aren't the right prescription anymore so I'm basically seeing wrong and they are too big and unwieldly. I really need to wear my contacts more, but I'm too lazy to spend 45 seconds each day putting them in. :(

Seth, I fucking hate all those drops they give you. There's one to test if you have glaucoma, which of course I don't, but when I dabbed it with the tissue you'd think she poured yellow paint on my eyeballs. I turned two tissues completely yellow just by dabbing them on my eyes. There was another drop to "check the dimensions of my eyes" or some shit like that, but I think they're just fucking with me and seeing how much crap they can drop in my eyes before they shrivel up and die.

I have never gotten a magic eye to work either. The doctor did say something about a muscule thing in my eyes, guess thats why I could never do them :(

I lost my glasses a couple weeks ago when I flew off of a waverunner unexpectedly. The strap didnt hold :( So I had to get another exam. At least I got the 2 pairs for 99 dollars special :)
