Has anyone played this game? It's like a Resident Evil with steroids. No really hard puzzles, but tons of action. IT was a lot scarier than RE, too...you got to play as an insane colonist from Rhode Island.

Yeah, this game was pretty cool. I wouldn't say it was as scary as Resident Evil, in the make you jump sense. It was pretty creepy though. The fight between the blue god and red god was pretty cool. It's been so long, I've forgotten the names...

The best were the insanity effects, making it think you hit tv video, the screen filling with flies, people all of a sudden hung in the room, your head exploding, screen tilting 30 degrees, spooky sounds, and THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH

Eternal Darkness kicks ass and I have been saying it since it came out.
Resident Evil doesn't even compare. It isn't even on the same plane.

It's different depending which of the three things you pick at the end of the Roman guy's thing. You have to win the game three times to actually completely beat it.
Which is another reason why it's such a great game. It was one of the best games to come out in 2002. At the very least, it was top five.

Hell yeah it was and the most underrated game of the year for sure.

Me and my friends at college beat it in record time, for like a week all we did was play that fucking game, we beat it then started again, took us that long becasue we liked being insane to much and would die :(

I almost shit myself when after one of the chapters, the game made you think you'd have to buy the sequel to the game.

Yeah, it was a great game, but by the third time completing it, with no break inbetween the end of the last game and the beginning of the next, I got tired of it. I should have stuck at it for a few more days to get the final ending, while the way to beat the game was fresh in my memory, but meh. I might pick that up and finish it sometime next week.

Yeah, I almost died when the screen told me to by "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Redemption", but I think the absolute WORST sanity effect was when it acted like it was erasing my file near the end when it was supposed to save. When I saw that, I almost gave new meaning to the term "packing your underwear".
