"Liars tell things that are lies. I tell things that are the truth."
-Vinth

"Now that I am thinner and a lot more healthy, I may join the Navy as a Nuclear Officer."
3/21/03

"my offer was to be an officer on a nuclear sub. I couldn't command it with only my bachleors. Would you like a scan of the letter I recieved? Nice plain jane on weird concrete gray paper. If you want, I can give you a color scan of it. Just tell me if you want it. I can scan the envelope as well, if you would like."
3/27/03

PROTO: I love how he's such an eager little beaver to show off that letter of his!

"I'm not an egar little beaver to show off anything, Proto. I am just a firm beliver in backing up the shit you talk. The shit I talk is because I can back it up."
-3/27/03

"I didn't have the letter on my mind until assholes decided to question what I said. See, I can back up what I say. So I am confident when I say what I say."
3/27/03

"I hope that I can even find that letter, although I may have to look for it."
-3/27/03

"No, its actually addressed to me. And I will have to find it, but I will be totally honest and say I may not be able to find it. I have an anal-retentive roommate that likes to throw away things he thinks are useless. But I will see if I didn't lay it somewhere."
3/28/03

"I am not so sure that it got thrown out, so I will have to look the next time I give a shit."

It's too bad Vinth's roommate doesn't throw him out. :(

it must have been a great loss for both the Navy AND for the church to learn that our vince decided to persue life in other ways :tear
And to imagine that all this time, I thought that vince lived with his parents.....

Indeed! :lol At this time I'd like to reiterate AChimp's question. How, exactly, did you pass the scrutiny of your room mate under this qualifier?! :)

About 8 years ago I got a letter from the Navy too. I wonder if I still have it. I believe it was from the local Navy recruiter and it said that according to my ASVAB scores, I was qualified to run the universe. But when I went to see the recruiter with my letter in hand, he said that job was already filled but there were some great positions fixing jets and working on sonar which of course are a close second to running the universe.

Heh, that's nothing.

The Canadian Army has been known to turn away people for being too smart.

"Kid, why do you wanna be soldier? With grades like that, you could make so much more money by getting a real job." :lol

So how long were you in the Canadian Army, AChimp?

I was smart enough to not even approach the recruitment booth when they came to my school. ;)

It's all right Canadas' army is kind of like an appendix any way.
