He was so funny in his early stuff like Caddyshack. What the hell happened?

Well, I took a look at the IMDB and figured it out: his career has been one awful movie after another with only the grace of a few standouts and SNL keeping him in the limelight. There's no doubt he can be funny, it's just nowadays he seems to hock himself out to anyone for a paycheck without any thought towards what he wanted to do during his career. Hell, take a look yourself. (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Chase,+Chevy) The man has more bad movies to his credit then good ones. Maybe if he chose his roles a bit better he would be better off.
Or he could be suffering from the Martin Short curse of fucking themselves over and not realizing that they're starting to suck until it's too late.

As shitty as he is, Fletch is still good.

The last thing he did was get roasted by faggots on Comedy Central. :(
That was such a disappointing roast. The Rob Reiner one was better. :(

Stephen Colbert was funny on the Chevy Chase roast, but that was about it. :(
Jixby had a good point. He said the roast would have been a hell of a lot funnier if the people roasting him hated him as much as I do.

That Mr. Goodwrench commercial wasn't that good.

Colbert wasn't all that good on Whose Line is it Anyway?, but I don't hold that against him. He's still hilarious, he just can't improv.

All of the Daily Show correspondants who have lasted longer than half a season are hilarious. Even that gay guy can be funny sometimes.

When is Steven Colbert not funny?
When he does the voice of the guy with the eyepatch on Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. :(
