sorry, but after anyone really experiencing and embracing geniunely inventive music, the clash have nothing going for 'em, considering they couldn't even really rock out or pen a great tune. that's why i still listen to queen and elton john after all these years, and not the clash.

I can understand finding Sandinista! boring, but there's something wrong with you if you think London Calling is boring.

I'll admit, I didn't think London Calling was so great the first time I heard it. But there were still enough songs I liked too much to find the album boring. I dont' think I ever would have though Brand New Cadillac or Spanish Bombs were boring.

I think the reason people dont' like the Clash is because they aren't used to hearing Joe Strummer's singing voice. He really does have an awful voice. Almost every album review or biography of the Clash calls his singing voice "guttural."

B) I never said all their better songs. It was like 5 of them. And not all of them were their better songs.

C) I also said that although they did cover songs, that they changed them a great deal and added more lyrics than there were in the songs originally.
