And having Jim Carrey in it would have made it good? Prequels always suck shit. :(
Just look at Star Wars. :(

This movie wouldn't be able to surprise me no matter how bad it sucks. If you were expecting anything more out of it, you were kidding yourself. :(

My expectations were actually pretty low to begin with, but it was flat out awful. It was supposed to take place in 1986, but the whole movie had a current feel to it. The actors did do a good enough job, but that was it. It didn't flow, it seemed rushed, it sucked.
It gets a TWO THUMBS DOWN :(

Now if you PAID to see this (as opposed to knowing someone that works there that occasionally lets you in for free) then Esuohlim I'm afraid I will be forced to point at you and laugh uncontrollably.

Getting laughed at by Skulhedface is the greatest insult you could get. :( :( :( :(

I think this deserves a WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING award. Fuck, take a look at the first one....did it even deserve a moment to have this prequel thrown at us? It's direct-to-video, man, nothing else!

Actually, I didn't think the first one was all that bad. It wasn't the greatest, but at least it didn't make me want to walk out of the theater LIKE THE LAST SIX MOVIES I WENT TO SEE >: >:

The first one ruled. >:
I'll never watch this movie. Even if, three years later, it's being shown on Fox and there's nothing else on, I still won't watch this piece of shit. I'll watch a documentary on the history channel instead.

The original Dumb & Dumber was a good flick. Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey were great together.
This new movie doesn't look good at all.

No person who was creatively involved with the original was involved with this movie. It's like Airplane II. Except I like Airplane II.

It would have been funny if Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels came back to play their original characters' younger selves while they were older. :(

That's actually a great idea. :(
If that idea was pitched, they probably wouldn't be smart enough to get it, or they would think we wouldn't be smart enough to get. :(

I'm sure they'd much prefer Jim Carrey over some unknown actor.

when I first heard of a Dumb and Dumber prequel I was actually happy. It sounded like a great idea. I figured they'd use makeup to make Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey look younger. As soon as I heard it wasn't them I was immediately not interested. I havent even payed any attention to the previews when they come on. Whoever pays to see this is retarded >:

I also thought it sounded like a good idea. I first saw the trailer when I saw Anger Management ( >: ) and I thought they would still use Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels, but with make-up or computer animation or something. Then I discovered otherwise, and I was displeased ( >: ).
Teh end. >:

In 1997, Trey Parker was assigned to write the script.

I took my little brother to see this, and after 2 average jokes and 78 lame ones, I walk out of the theatre, I step into broad daylight, and I scream...
WHY GOD WHY?!?!?!
And of course my little brother likes it. >:

I saw it a few day's ago. The movie was pretty lame except for the "choco-fecal matter" scenes. But i was at the matinee, so alls it cost me was two dollars, and my remaining hope in humanity.

A thought occured. Why would they call it "Dumb and Dumberer if it was a prequel? Wouldn't the prequel be called "Dumb and Dumber" and then the sequel would be "Dumberer"?
This movie sucks all over. >:
Krythor
Jun 30th, 2003, 01:41 PM
The movie wouldn't be called Dumb and Dumber because that's what the first movie was called. >:
