Heaven

Can anyone who believes in an afterlife fill me in on what it would be like? Any personal beliefs about heaven?

I personaly would rather this thread not get weighted down in religious arguments about its existence or not, I just want to get the facts.

I hear it is a nice place, but what are the basics?

Is the Christian/Jewish view of Heaven a phsical place or not?

I didn't pay much attention to God in school, so if I sound vague or of track it's because I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I vaguely remember a bible story about a rich man and a poor man who both led a reasonably good life, but ending up in heaven, the poor man was on a higher 'plane' (closer to God) than the rich man. There may have been more to the story about the rich man not doing as much good with his wealth as the poor man did with his poverty.

But it was probably strictly metaphorical.
