Anybody know of any good rom hack sites? I'm really tired of seeing a hundred thousand different hacks of Super Mario Brothers.

Yeah, for every 100 rom hacks, there seems to be only one worth reviewing. "Super Mario Bros. With A Slightly Different Nose". "The Legend of Zelda Hardtype Mega Double Diddly Do Squat". "I took someone else's hack and changed two pixels in it and gave it a title that has absolutely nothing to do with the changes".

It's scary how many rom hacks there are out there of the original Super Mario Bros. The reason for it is because when people start out with rom hacking, most of the tutorials suggest they start with that game because it's one of the easiest to hack apparently.

Still, there's so many games on the NES that people could hack, yet they still continue to crank out more Mario ones. I know you (FS and Boogie) both have good rom hacks that you're about to review, and Mew is supposed to be reviewing one that's way overdue. Hopefully he'll get to it now that he has his internet connection back.

But back to the topic... yeah, anybody know of some more good rom hack sites?

One of these days italian and I will cross over into hacked rom reviewing territory. You'll see >:

Anyway, I suggest edgeemu. I haven't been to the nes section there for a while but I remember a lot of hacked stuff that could be worth checking out.

I have a shitload of rom hacks -- like 270 of them, back when I was collecting ever single ROM for the NES. And while not all of them are great, none of them are the terrible one's like the first Super Mario game but the question mark blocks are upsidedown, and instead of saying Game Over it says FUKC YOU.

I got a list of all the hacks I got. I can post it, and if anybody wants some roms, I got the "hook up."

If you guys ever run out of rom hacks, you can always make your own. I heard before that some people send hacks that they made for you guys to review them.
