Awesome music. Awesome song subjects. Some of my favorite cover Artwork, to boot.

"The Bleeding" sucked. I'm glad they got rid of Chris Barnes after that album. I shit you not, my fucking mom was able to understand a few of the songs. I got a promo copy of it a week early and called up a couple of my friends to listen to it, since it was gonna rule, right? Wrong. We sat there looking at each other the whole time, saying "What the hell happened?".
They'll always be my sentimental favourites, though. My first concert was them on the Tomb of the Mutilated tour.

Pretty damn good band, can't find anyhting to complain about. Saw them live and they kicked ass, although Incantation was better.

Yeah, Incantation is good, but I like C.Corpse more.
Generator 86 - what do you think of their newer stuff, like Gore Obsessed?

Honestly, I've never even listened to it. I think I heard one album with Corpsegrinder on vocals, and I didn't like it.
I dunno, I'm just pretty bored with the entire death metal scene. Just about the only death band I'll still listen to is Carcass.

Which era of Carcass? The early goregrind period, or later melodic death one?

Well, go ahead and call me a poseur, but I really started getting into them with Necroticism. Before that, I dunno, it just wasn't my thing. I did see them on the Heartwork tour, and I gotta say, it was easily one of the top 5 non-Bad Religion concerts I've ever been to.
Just to ask, do you guys consider Kataklysm death or grind? If death, then I've got to add them to my list too(Slyvain era only).

Death Metal. Sure, they blast, but Grind and Death aren't so much different as to how much blasting is going on, but usually on the vocals and lyrics. Kataklysm are definantely a Death Metal band. If you like them, you owe it to yourself to check out None So Vile-era Cryptopsy. Best drummer in Death Metal.

Their best song ever - Devoured by Vermin. Gotta love the beginning.

No, that would be The Berzerker's tour drummer. Fast - really, really fast.

I remeber hearing he got up to 1128 bpm or something like that. I'm not sure if that's true or if it's the fastest but I wouldn't doubt if it was true.

I'm sure he's not quite that fast. The fastest song ever recorded was 1095 bpm.

you're talking about a song though...

It's not all about speed. Cryptopsy's drummer actually complements the arrangements of the songs in a way that you cannot even consider how they would sound without him. And I'm not talking about "Polka/Roll/Blast/Polka/Roll/Blast". I'm talking about percussion as a lead instrument. If Bill Bruford was into extreme drumming, that's what he'd sound like.

I honestly like it more when Incantation does the slower doomier parts...makes them more different than the regular hordes of "brootal" death bands..

The slower parts make the fast songs all the cooler. i think Crown of Decayed Salvation off of Blasphemy is one of the coolest death metal songs i have ever heard.
