View Full Version : VINTH/NEWSFILTER CHALLENGE OVER

mburbank

Well, here's shock.

Despite Vinth's gay promise to dress me as sailor moon and make me give him a rim job while he smoked a cigar, he could barely be bothered to even show at Newsfilter.

The crowd over there is bored and complaining, and I don't blame them, so I'm done.

I gave him three and a half days and four threads to put up or shut up. He let other people argue for him, slept, played x-box and posted here. The only effort he made was to post an expired link and call me stupid for not finding the original information through it.

The sad thing was, I had. And I posted it for him. And I pointed out it didn't support his claim at all. And he ignored me.

What a Submarine Letter this turned out to be.

I posted a question, Max. You didn't respond to it. All you did was whine and bitch. I am just waiting for you to respond to the question. Apparently, I am supposed to answer my own question that I asked you before you answer it yourself.... hm.... seems kinda screwy to me.

Kind of like I had to do for you the first three days?

Starvation, Vinth.

It's what's happening to the brainsucker on your head, and what you failed to explain. I found the article you meant, I posted it for you since you couldn't be bothered, it doesn't support your claim at all. If you think it does, argue the point.

Or you could argue that being born a white man isn't a privilidge.

And if he responds, will you stay away just long enough for someone else to answer so you won't have too?

It's an interesting ploy, but one that is easily seen through.

Remember, this whole thing started because you claimed you could back anything up in a debate and tear Max a new one. Instead, other people answered and you still haven't backed anything up. You didn't even bother to check what you had posted. All that does is serve to prove the points Max has been making all along.

He is saying 'Burn' in it's 70's slang form, as in "Ooooh, Burn!" as in I burned Vinth.

"VINTH/NEWSFILTER CHALLENGE OVER"

Thank God.

Well, I'll say it's been fun for a few days, but I think I'm going to slink back into my Newsfilter hole. Among the assorted and inevitable useless users here there are more bright bulbs than I expected to find... and a possible few diamonds in the rough that I guess I'm not willing to wait for their "warming up" to finish.

I don't think this little Post-Vince-Challenge experiment in idea exchange was ever intended to be a pissing contest, and I'm sorry if some of you have taken it as that. Most of most regular users on Newsfilter have argued and debated themselves into pretty similar views on many things, and sometimes it's fun to seek fresh perspectives.

Any of you that wish to register on Newsfilter, please feel free to do so. I'd love to stick around and argue about abortion and whatnot, but I have my own board to help run and, sadly, there's only so much time in the world.

Currently, we have no banned members, and the only thing that's accepted as warranting that these days is extremely vicious and dogged attacks against members or their loved ones, which I believe we can all agree to be unneccesary in any case.

You have a nice little group here, as do we, in my opinion. I think you gained some valuable contributors from this past week's fun and games, and I hope you all realize that you have your friend VINCE to thank for that.

Finally, and on that note: In my own experience, he's not as bad a guy as you guys think. I'm sure your own personal experiences are valid, but you have to remember that the internet isn't very helpful in making real judgements on people's personalities. From my point of view, you don't yet know Vince, and all your doing is perpetuating a flawed impression for fun... but you and he both benefit from that, I suppose...

Either way. HAVE A NICE DAY.

mburbank
Jun 18th, 2003, 02:08 PM
" the only thing that's accepted as warranting that these days is extremely vicious and dogged attacks against members or their loved ones,"

Heh. Vinth is lucky we don't ban for that here.

Well, Ta, Preech. If any of your lot sticks around and ads to the collective experience, then inadvertantly we would Vinth to thank I suppose. Unless since I'm the one who accepted his faux challenge people ought to thank or blame me as the case may be. From either angle it was a pretty sad affair. I was loathe to take him up in the first place and it's evident I should have gone with my instincts.

If we all think Vinth is a prick here, he has no one to blame but himself. A persons writing is all you get on the net and what he's written here marks him as a blowhard and an idiot. If he does better elsewhere, more power to him. He certainly skipped any chance of proving it the last few days.

But I'm sure he doesn't care. He spends a lot of time posting about how much he doesn't care, so I'm sure it's true.

Vinth. I whipped you like a cur and you didn't even fight back. Simple as THAT. Anyone who can read either forum saw you pretty much lie down and allow yourself to be run over. Even on my 'half day' I put in way more than you did. The only question I didn't answer was your last one, and that would be because you offered a TOTAL of one lousy rebuttal to one of my questions over a three day period and then ignored my response and hidding behind Walt.

It was YOUR challenge and you utterly pussied out. I can't see any other interpretation. It was just another Submarine letter, All big talk and threats and dares supported by nothing at all. You should be seriously ashamed and I can't imagine anyone who was around for that farce EVER taking you seriously about a challenge or saying you can back something up ever again.

I think the format the Pseudo-Debate took was a bit off-putting for him. Not his style, really. Maybe if you just ran around in his yard and let him throw various objects at you... hmmm...

I have read transcripts of Vince on e-mail chains that were actually very impressive. I think sometimes he needs time to compose his thoughts into coherent insults, though he has been known to pull pure gold out of his ass at times, too...

I don't know that he actually expected you to venture off the board to accept his challenge, and when you did, he was further disadvantaged by the fact that you actually had TIME to devote to him.

That didn't look like Vince's day of reckoning. If he's still determined to be the proverbial booger on your finger, I think you'll find yourself trying to shake him off another day yet.

Hell, consider it an honor that you pose such a challenge! I know I'd never have come here to see you work had he not be so damn fired-up over taking you on... and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Love him or hate him, the guy's drawing a following. Wouldn't it be funny if Vince was your key to internet super-stardom?!?!

HAHAha...

mburbank
Jun 19th, 2003, 02:31 PM
Intertnet super stardom is surely an oxymoron.

"I have read transcripts of Vince on e-mail chains that were actually very impressive. "

If that's true then he must be some sort of savant. I've read the email chain he posted on his own site. In the savant sense I find him HIGHLY entertaining as I'm sure is apparent, especially when he's angry. I'm guilty of deliberately provoking him.

"I don't know that he actually expected you to venture off the board to accept his challenge, and when you did, he was further disadvantaged by the fact that you actually had TIME to devote to him."

That's totally bogus claim. One of the days he was complaining about how he was too busy, he was here all morning, making post after post, arguing his head off with folks here.

I'm sure he didn't expect me to take him up on his challenge. but only because he NEVER seems to expect to be questiond. Time and again here he'll dare people to ask him to prove something and when they do, he always says "Uh... I don't have the proof anymore. I don't care anyway. Look it up yourself, what am I, Lexus Nexus?" And then the next day he DOES IT AGAIN!

I'm flattered you felt like taking a look. Seriously, though, message board stuff is like Improv., I'm just messing around. I don't know if you'd like it or not, but my real stuff is in the Vissionary Darkness section. I also write for Acidlogic, Apeculture, Justlaugh and a few other places. That's the finished stuff. Message boards are just for fun. It is fun, though.

Seems that Achimp is fooled by a simple standard e-mail that is supposed to be an e-mail blocker. Like I said once before, I sent him another e-mail and it went through about a month later. If he was so intent on blocking me, why did it go through? Dumbass.

And I posted a question, it seems that max ignored it and has declared this little argument over. The only thing it proves is that I put something up as evidence for my claim, and when he would claim something, he went away and claimed to his cronies that he won a victory.

I'm on here for two main reasons. 1) You should be able to figure it out. 2) To fuck around with people that are mental midgets.

Shithead! I said "auto-responder" not "blocker."

It's something standard that webmasters usually have set up to keep people happy for a little while until they have more time to respond. The e-mail still goes through, Vinth, and after that it's up to the webmaster personally to respond or not respond. Rackjite even admits in his response that he gets hundreds of e-mails per day.

Notice how you got the same e-mail twice before you received an *actual* response from rackjite? My guess is that you picqued his interest by actually responding to the form letter.

I guess we can put "zero web-savvy" on your resume right beside "shitty HTML skillz." :lol

So, you see the rules for the debate as being; You give me the right to ask a question. I ask several. You ignore several. One you respond to but ignore that it's an old link to the wrong place. When I find for you the link I'm pretty sure you mean, you don't respond at all. When I point out that if the article is the link you mean it doesn't support your claim, you respond that if I can't find the information you mean I'm stupid, never even saying if the article I posted is what you meant or not.

Then you respond to a question. I rebut. You say nothing, and Walt Byers gets so frustrated by your consistent silence he answers for you.

Having in three days made a single relevant post (the one Walt did the follow up on) and completely ignored all but one of my questions, on the fourth day You figure it's your turn. By now Patrons of Newsfilter are actively asking us to stop. They find it boring and pathetic, and I agree.

refuse to answer your question unless you make some attempt to answer any of mine. You say nothing.

I post the above for you in one form or another at Newsfilter and here. If anyone besides you thinks your performance was anything but pathetic, I haven't heard. I have seen a few of them beg to take your place. You made excuses, you were tired, you were making money, you were diddling your X-box. The only things I know for sure you were doing were posting here and not posting there. Your challenge was a submarine letter.

Unless this whole thing has been some sort of performance art, in which case I congratulate you, all you did was prove you're full of shit. I don't think I'm dressed a sailor moon, and I'm sure as hell not giving you any rim job. You Loose.

maybe you don't understand Raven. Max isn't looking to start anything up with the rest of you (maybe not yet anyways). Vince proposed an internet challenge to Max...you can call it a "Duel". On that note, everybody EXCEPT for "the challenger" showed up at the arena when he was supposedly going to prove all the horseshit he has been throwing about over here. But vince was really busy playing with his x-box.
The problem here, is that vince has got worlds biggest mouth and hasn't learned to shut it when it has been appropriate to do so! Even Walt came to "daddy" for vince, when the poor little boy realized he is in over both ears... seriously, THAT is just pathetic! I know full well that he wasn't going there for an actual debate. He has stated so before hand. But as such he came to the board three separate times. He didn't contribute anything to the board other than an annoying little spat between him, and his sexual partner. When Newsfilter members came over here, we at least showed the board the common courteous of contributing something. We expect the same respect. As such either debate me Burbank, or knock off the foolish bullshit.

Please, Raven, before you start claiming to understand the entire situation here, read what Zos said again. No one from here went over to Newsfilter because Vinth wanted a NEUTRAL board (and since Newsfilter is full of his groupies, it's hardly neutral, but Max still accepted).

You see, if we had all joined up to cheer Max on, Vinth would have just used that as an excuse to not show up. Since he couldn't claim that we were all influencing the "debate," he used his X-box and pocket pool tournament as an excuse instead.

Max won because Vinth wussed out, posted a link that had nothing to do with anything, refused to explain the link, and then tried to start the debate up after Max said he was leaving so he could crow about how "chicken" his opponent was for not showing up. :blah

Yes full of his groupies. I've seen far less cheering for Vince in the way he berates Burbank, at Newsfilter, than I have seen for Burbank here. As such Burbank has come over three times using that bullshit. First time I didn't care, some people did but simple let it drop. Second time I thought it was tedious but ignored it, others did the same. Third time I became annoyed. As such I want him to either put up and act like a man, or simply shut up. The entire situation has become over extended and pathetic. As neither a groupie for either Vince or Burbank I can truly say they both look like complete and utter dumb fucks in this. And from the way I see it neither of them have won shit. Vince with his empty trash talking, and Burbank with his ever so ignorant furthering of a dead situation.

I know but I'm bored. And it seems my attempts to argue with AChimp one on one failed. As such I'll go for Burbank. One's beliefs are worthless if they are not constantly challenged.

I'm not interested in a one-on-one private debate. You are right, the argument was becoming pointless and redundant.

And anyways, I hardly think that Max filled up you board with so much "unwanted" garbage that it has affected your posting habits at Newsfilter. From what I saw, he stuck to one or two threads, which is not the norm for someone looking to start shit. He went there to debate Vinth and Vinth alone, not have everyone and their dog start posting in the debate thread.

Yes but he has already been told that it has been annoying. I also stated that he could decline the invitation if he chose to. I would not bicker or bitch if he did.

I'm sure his total of 46 posts was just way too much for Newsfilter.
And I believe his last one was yesterday way in the begining of a thread.

So who is persisting and being annoying?

So his 46 vs my 7?

I guess we should give you as much time as he's had over there trying to get Vince to actually back up his inital challenge.

Point is, you're doing the exact same thing you are annoyed with them doing. It's actually quite amusing to watch.

See, if Vince had actually put up the first, second or third time around it would have been over by now. But Vince waits until Max says he's done and then calles him a coward for not following through. Maybe you should challenge Vince to follow through instead. Max only did what the guy asked and accepted his challenge.

Exactly, and Max only did it after being hounded for a month.

Raven

So all I'll need is a month? Than I'll be able to get an argument out of the guy?

You should just try posting. Max responds to things he finds interesting. As do we all.
It's a message board. Debates happen.

In the case of Vince and Max, Max asked him to back up his claims which resulted in Vince telling him on any other board he would have him wearing a sailor moon outfit giving him a rim job (or some such) Max told Vince to find the board. Vince said he didn't want to do the work. Vince kept bringing it up so eventually Max found a board for him.
The rest is history.

Like I said. I'm bored. Only reason I came here was because I could see a level of intelligence in Burbank. I was wondering if I could garner a chance to actually learn from it. As such I have yet to have a chance, but have had a few interesting debates. As with the Vince/Burbank quarrel, I could really care. Just an excuse to ask him for one really.

You're wrong about one thing, Raven. Max never looked like an idiot in all of this.

I agree with Proto on that count.

I will agree with you on that. He has looked foolish more so than like an idiot.

I completely disagree with you on that count! You've apparently not been here long enough!

You are right. But I am basing my opinion solely on what I've seen. As such it is valid for me. Perhaps not you, but it is for me.

In order.

"I gave you my answer, Max. You either can accept it and move on to my question, or you can sit there and whine about it."

I can only assume you don't read my posts. Oh, by the way, Did you know I was Jewish?

Your 'answer' was a link. A link to the wrong place. I found an article linked wiithin it and posted it. You have yet t say if that was indeed what you meant to post. By what deffinition is that an answer?

IF that is NOT the article you meant, You have to say so. I didn't agree to a scavenger hunt and you should be ashmaed I have to find your arguments for you. If it IS the article you meant, I have already said it does not support your claim. You did not rebut that statement. Can I assume you agree it does not suppport your statement?

Do you know what debate is? Are you playing at being stupid? Or do you actually consider the posting of innacurate links followed by silence to be some form of statement.

Raven. I'm sorry, whilke it may sometimes appear to be the case, I am not always on line. I shall attend to your question on Newsfilter.

Proto. raven is not saying "Burn" as in 'Max should Burn'. He is saying 'Burn' in it's 70's slang form, as in "Ooooh, Burn!" as in I burned Vinth.

Well. That's just gay.

You sound like a scorned clown... :/
