I worked at a bowling alley when I was 16. It was a hard job, but mainly because it was a really big, popular bowling alley. It's not a bad job, and there are certain to be at least a few alleys around you. Also, if you have a brain, it won't take you very long to figure out that if you don't ring in shoes in the cash register and use the several free-game coupons lying around, you can scam the place out of several hundred bucks a night.

There are jack shit full time jobs at this point and time for 16 year olds. Maybe you could have got lucky and got one if you were smart and applied before summer, but you apparently aren't. Also, there aren't many fun jobs anyways, because, you have to work. You can make a pretty buck selling weed to Jr and High schoolers.

When I was 16, I was working at a convenience store full time. It's a sucky job but then again, what do you expect?? Work is work, just find a place that'll hire you.

I'm 19 and have had the hardest time finding ANY job...after school I spent pretty much all of May turning in applications. Also being 16 does limit you...I hate to say it, but aside from making an attempt at stupid mall stores, fast food is about it. Unless you want to be a server; I know several guys who do it and the tips are pretty damn nice.

Wouldn't we all. :blah Face it, you probably aren't going to have much fun on your job, and it is uncommon to find a summer job you enjoy. Don't be suprised if you can only find jobs you don't like. They are called "work" for a reason, you know.

right now I work at an "assisted living" retirement center. It's an easy job, I work with a lot of my friends, and I can goof around a lot, but I dont get nearly as much hours as I'd like. My shifts are usually 2 and a half hours, and I might get an 8 hour on saturday or sunday. I'm averaging about 14 hours a week, and that is not nearly enough money.

I love my job at college. I'm a lab bitch for the physics teaching center, and the pay is great. Unfortunately, that's three months away, and I desperately need to find something to do before then. I think tomorrow I will look into getting back my old coffee shop job, or worse some fast food place in Noblesville.
