So who's going to pick it up when it comes out tomorrow? I can't wait to play it and see some more badass cinematics.

Since I never leave the house anymore, I didn't reserve it. I doubt I'll be able to buy a copy without a reservation until a little while later.

Are you kidding? The shelves everywhere are going to be FLOODED with copies of this game. It's not like your whole city is going to sell out.

I'll be stopping in Best Buy on my lunch break tomorrow and picking it up.

Aye, when I worked at EB Gameworld we made sure that we had plenty of copies of Warcraft III when it came out. Honestly, there wasn't even a need to preorder them cuz we had so many copies in the store.

I will have to wait until Wednesday because tomorrow (July 1) is Canada Day and everything is closed. >:

I'd like to get it very soon, but first I desperately need to upgrade my computer so it'll run the original more smoothly. :(

I can't wait to command the PANDAREN. :hic

I dunno. Gamestop was sold out of WC3 unless you had a reservation. I guess I'll see.

They were selling some copies of it at the GameStop near me. They don't even care if they get in trouble or not, they are greedy fuckers anyway.

I was going to pick it up, but my computer isn't going to be able to play it.

I have just discovered that I will probably be able to get a copy of it tomorrow because many stores don't care about holidays anymore! :eek

Im getting it today :rock

There's a slim chance I'll get it tonight, but I have class shortly after work and by the time I'm done with that and go home to change, the stores will probably be closed.

Just got home with it (Tiny box version. Ugh).

Best Buy's offering a $10 certificate via mail-in, and a free figure. Get it there, if you don't mind tiny boxes.

Edit: Just watched the gameplay preview for World of Warcraft. So sexy.

Yes, it's a seperate cd key. And drumaster, you totally got shafted. Best Buy and Circuit City had much better deals.

What did circuit city have?

I did the bestbuy $10 thingy.

EB had NO DEALS whatsoever on it, which really surprised me. They almost always have deals on big releases like that.

Protoclown

Circuit City had a $10 gift card, but you get it instantly. Best Buy's $10 gift card is a mail-in, but they also had free action figures (which disappeared quickly).

Ah ok, glad I went to best buy then, cuz I already had a free gift card and I didn't really feel like spending a lot on the expansion set.

Anyway, I only had time to play a little bit of the first board last night but it's already great. And that first cinematic movie was NICE! I couldn't believe the ocean water animation and all the other scenery. I can't wait to see more of it.

Starcraft Ghost looked very uninteresting. And World of Warcraft... well I'm just not interested in those kind of games, but I'm sure it's gonna be great for people who are. The only thing from that game that I want to see is the cinematics.

I'm not really fond of those MMORPGs or whatever they're called, but I may give WoW a glance at. Seems interesting that you may be able to fly around, not to mention all-out wars. And Ghost looks like it'll be worth at least a rental.

I'm up to the 4th Elf mission. The story so far has been a little bland, to be honest. I mean, everything's great, and the introduction of the new race is nice (but I already saw the "surprise" coming after the first mission). It all just feels like it's not advancing as much as the base game did. Hopefully it'll pick up as I play further.

But I really am liking it. Can't wait to play against you guys on B.Net. You can select your icon now from a list of those you unlock. I'm still hoping the Lost Vikings one is hidden away somewhere. :(

I am a few missions into the third campaign, the Undead, and I have also completed the bonus campaign. Overall, to me, it has been a very exciting story so far.

I thought both previews were boring
and the opening scene to the expansion was just ok
and the elf chicks voices were annoying me

I wasn't in the best mood last night though, so maybe that's why

i just bought mine at best buy. i got a tichondrius action figure and the 10 dollar gift certificate rebate. i have only played a couple missions. pretty good so far. I thought the intro was pretty rad my self. I kinda wished i remebered the wc3 story better...maybe i shoulda played it through again/

I just found my first WC3 Expansion secret that's not in the strategy guide. (I got the guide. So sue me.)

Anyway, on the 4th mission, I took my sweet-ass time, which is ballsy since you are under constant attack. And there are some areas you can only access with Blink, such as a Keeper of Storms secret area located near an enemy base. Blah blah.

ANYWAY, towards the northwest of the map, which will eventually be your final destination, there's an area along the right side of the river, the furthest north you can go, where two Naga stand guard. If you kill them, and Blink to the other side of the small gap, you will find an area overgrown with flowers, and a fountain. You will also noticed a creature.

Meet Grank the Rat. Click on him until he blows up, and you get a Talisman of Evasion. I thought it was cute.

Since I'm a night owl and I was in the area at the time (friends house), I went to Fry's when it opened up at 11:30 PM on Jun 30th, you didn't get any free action figures at Fry's but you did get a signed copy of the game, a t-shirt, and a poster that all the members of the development team signed. I was extremely tired not to long after so I waited until late morning to play it. I'm a good chunk of the way through the Night Elf campaign, as well as the Orc "bonus" Campaign. Which felt more like an RPG then anything for some reason. I've yet to go on Battle.net as of now, but after a couple more days of extensive playing and getting the feel for things, I probably will be.

I have but one last thing to say:
:love Pandaren Brewmaster :love

Playing on B.net is fun because the new heros aren't that good, but everyone picks them just becuase they're "cool" and I can rape them with the good old dreadlord.

I just beat the Night Elf campaign. The story started to pick up nicely not long after I thought it seemed flat. The final mission seemed a tad on the easy side, but I'm not complaining. I'd take a more lenient difficulty over brain-burstingly difficult anyday. Besides, it helps keep the focus on the story by not having to be so frantic.

What pisses me off is that there's no idividual FMV intros for each campain. Maybe the Humans will have one at the end, though. :(

I completed the entire expansion today. :)

Be sure that you find the flying sheep that are on fire. You get a bonus ending credits that is AWESOME. heh

I now await the rest of the Founding of Durotar acts to be released. woot

Wait until you get to the last Alliance missions. They will bust your balls. :(

And for the record, there are only two FMVs: the intro and the ending. Oh well, but I enjoyed the game and its story nonetheless. The ending sequence IS really cool though.

The ending totally kicks the ass of the original's ending. Definitely worth staying up all night finishing the game!

how do you like this game mock?

From what I've played so far, it's fuckin' great. But I'm still very early in the Night Elves campaign. I really don't have as much time to play games as I used to, so it'll prolly be a while before I beat the actual game. Trying to beat one level every day or two, that's about all the time I have to spare right now.

James

I just beat the secret level. I am mentally drained. I am not playing for another 2 or 3 days.

But it rocked. I saw a pretty drawing of pandas.
