So if I asked you whether Robocop was better than Terminator, you'd say yes, right?

Right?

Pretty much.

Except for 3. And the game for X-Box.

I have the game Terminator vs. Robocop. I forget who wins, but it sucks.

To me, they are pretty much the same.

I found Robocop to be "deeper". The thought behind it, to me, surpassed that of Terminator, which I found to just be an exciting display of special effects, of which the plot was secondary.

The original Robocop was a satire on a possible future Corporate America and was skillfully directed by Verhoeven (http://www.imdb.com/Name?Verhoeven,+Paul) along those lines.

And incidentally, it's theoretically impossible for the two Terminators to still have existed after the destruction of the Cyberdyne building.

I'm sorry Johnny, but for even making this comparison, you deserve to be raped by Robocop while he wears his jetpack.

By which I mean that he can't hold a candle to the Terminator.

They both kick ass, but there's no contest. Robocop is pretty entertaining and has it's funny moments, but compared to TERMINATOR? Are you fucking insane?

Johnny, has it ever occurred to you that since Cyberdyne is, WAS a big company, that there had to have been some backup files not destroyed?

Hello? arnold's arm in the gear at the end?

Spectre X

that too, but that didn't have the CPU in it. But, with the files that were left, and the arm, they could have made a new CPU by this time. Because, all they did in the first movies was delay the coming of Skynet for 6 years or so.

Yeah, I always wondered if they put that part in to patch up some loopholes. I bought it anyway :/

It doesn't matter if there were backup files or not, the fact remains that the course of history had changed. The chain of events which led up to the creation of the original Terminator never happened, so how could he exist?

Terminator is just sooo cool to begin with. Don't get me wrong, a huge robot with a helmet that fights for justice is great and all... But you can't beat the scene in Terminator when Arnold was in the police station. I'm sorry but you don't get much better then that.

Robocop is a much deeper movie....personally, Terminator had it's moments but most of the time it came off as looking either fake or just dreary. I still can't watch any of the non-Arnold scenes without thinking I could be wasting my time doing something else like ironing slacks or something constructive.
