I'm going to be very, very biased with this movie, because I am going into this film with the mindset that it will be good. I'm sure that there will be certain things wrong with it (pirate movies often include mountainous doses of overacting....Arrrrr!), but I'll overlook them and be totally convinced that it is the best swashbuckling flick this year.

Until.....maybe......The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

But only just maybe!

I wasn't wrong about Orlando Bloom being hotter than liquid fuck, though. Cause he is.

I kept waiting for the scene where he got naked and did naughty things to me, but I think I missed it when I went to the bathroom to masturbate. :(

This film was great! With all the good comments about it, I figured it'd be good, but it defied expectation. It definitely accomplished everything it could have; I mean, for a film based on a ride it's amazing. Depp made the film for sure, his 'pirate antics' were the shit.

I liked Johnny Depp's character... he was fine. But the movie itself? Goddamn, I never thought it would be possible to make a movie about pirates completely boring, but Disney pulled it off.

Aside from Depp's performance, it was a huge let-down. :/

I'm just trying to understand what you didn't like about a movie that I personally felt was about as perfect as a pirate movie could be. I'm not saying you're "wrong" or "stupid" for disliking it, I'm just curious as to why you hated it so much.

I thought it was rather boring. It had no real 'plot' and nothing really to keep me watching it. The only thing that kept me wanting to stay in the theater was Johnny Depp.
