Been browsing the forum for a while, but only recently decided to post. I run the classicgaming.com Splatterhouse page, as well as a Metal Slug page. Since there appear to be fans of both series here, I thought I'd stop by and see if anyone would be interested in a good SH or MS discussion - or G'NG, Castlevania, Gradius, Strider or Contra, for that matter.

Nice to have you here, I know that both myself and Dr. Boogie have been to your Splatterhouse site quite a bunch. It's a great resource for that series to say the least. Hope you'll be sticking around here for a while

Yeah, I visit the site a lot too. It's still in my favorites. I'm up for some sh discussing.

A new game would be nice >:

Thanks! I'll probably stick around as long as I can Say, did you see what we just put up today on WM? Scans of the PC Engine and Mega Drive manuals. Don't know if you've seen them before - I know I haven't until now - but they've got a lot of great artwork in them (that was cut from the US releases, of course).

Zomboid - I'm with you on that. I'd love to see a new game, preferably in 2D.

It would be cool in 2D, but I think it's unlikely if they really want to revive it. As long as there's an insane amount of gore and violence I'll be happy though. One thing that'll most likely be scrapped (unfortunately) is the cool music :(

I've already prepared myself for the (probably definite) possibility that it'll be in 3D, if it actually gets released. I hope that if they do create it, that they do at least three things: 1. Give it a good soundtrack, 2. keep to the spirit of the original games - no RE clones, please and 3. package the original SH arcade game in with it, like Capcom did with Strider 2 (which I thought was great, although from what I've seen here, the general consensus is that Strider 2 was terrible). Or hey, Namco could always release my Splatterhouses compilation...

Actually Dire, you would probably enjoy this little flash intro I did a while ago... I'm not sure if you've seen it already or not.

Mockery - I love that! As a matter of fact, it's already on the site... I emailed you back when it was the site intro to ask if we could use it on the site. That cracks me up everytime I see it.

"I guess this means I'm good at baseball, eh?" :lol

To my knowledge it's not a joke, but it is a very early WIP.
